The Official "MyGaming" Anime Thread

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Stardust Crusaders - Not as flashy or funny as the first 2 parts of the series, Jotaro reminds me a lot of Clint Eastwood and Joseph being much older does not make much of a combatant. It does seem to redeem itself toward the final arc of the series, by that time the fun is all over and you are left hanging in there waiting for it's conclusion in January.

Texhnolyze - Sluggish, dull and strange. Texhnolyze does some things well and others it forgets completely about leaving you in a limbo of sorts. Initially it has a very slow start of 4 - 5 episodes before it explodes into action and then tapers off towards the and as it realises it has a story to follow not just one main character, who in the entirety of the show says less words than Arnie did in The Terminator.

The Devil is a part timer - Satan comes down to earth mistakenly and works in a fast food joint, to support himself, hilarity ensues. Not much else I can say about it, fun characters, bit of hareem and flashy fighting scenes.

Finished watching Deathnote! Was so good even though it got a little bit stale after episode 26.

Started climbing into that list you guys gave me and so far I've watched Steins;Gate,Samurai Champloo,Another and Psycho-Pass. At the moment they are all very good but alas not enough time to watch everything."whistling:

Death Note died a little for me when
Spoiler: show
Light Killed L, it could have basically ended there for all I cared but they chose to extend it

But there are still so many more to enjoy! :D

I enjoyed this finished it 2 days ago, felt like it ended a bit abruptly though, was starting to get attached to the characters, would have liked to see how everything worked out in the end, I would like to imagine that He was forced in some way to be the bad guy or something.

The anime basically promotes the manga in a case like this, they end it abruptly to get sales out of the manga, which is still being produced.

If you enjoyed that give Bento and Working!! A watch they have similar humor style.

Hayate no Gotoku - Still busy on this 70% of its content is parodies of everything anime, manga and culture related. Fun at times otherwise generally a little patchy with its story progression. I enjoy spotting all the references in the show which can get into the 20+ mark.

THOUSANDS OF MEMORIES

We will miss you Masashi Kishimoto, Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi, Minato, Sakura, Choji, Hidan, Kakuzu, Madama, Hiruzen, Inoue, Pain, Jiraiya, Killer Bee, Deidara, Orochimaru, Gaara, Tobimaru and everyone else! Ironically it ends the day before my birthday.

*current prediction based on the amount of manga left vs. where the anime is currently.

Fractale: I got a bit of a Now and Then, Here and There vibe from Fractale, minus the post apocalyptic world and adults were actually useful as well. The plot, which for a good part of the is somewhat non existent until the end, shows us the future where the world is kept in order via the fractale system. Incidentally it's controlled by a bunch of religious fanatics of sorts, whom seek to recreate the a 'key' to rectify the world. I enjoyed Fractale but I can easily say there are better shows with the whole futuristic dystopian theme.

Not big on anime other then the big hits (mainly due to censorship) but love manga.

Reading The Gamer,Trinity Seven and Fujimi Lovers at the moment.

Character design for the Naruto film.

Ofcourse he has his arm magicked back on like Gon did :/

I should really watch Naruto again, followed it a couple of years back up until Shippuden (started working full time then) but followed the manga for a couple of years after. Gonna look in my archives and start watching it again.

That and One Piece :)

Naruto is good when you skip the fillers :/ Manga is ending in less than 2 weeks and the anime should be done by Q1 next year.

The fillers really bored me, especially after reading the manga.

I'll look up which eps to skip, and start watching it

I know one of the manga websites (mangareader?) usually has a guide on the manga and the anime, showing which corresponds with what.

manga ends next week only goes up till 700. looks like it will be a double manga episode next week

This year's 49th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is announcing on Saturday that the "astonishing" finale of Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto manga will be two chapters long in the following issue on November 10. In addition, the second chapter will be in full color. In all, the 50th issue will publish 44 pages.

Anime News Network

Two more chapters to go~ ;_;
