The Official "MyGaming" Anime Thread

Hahaha yeah she was awesome actually. Even more sad now:( lol

Well at least she was with the one she loved at the end.

***EDIT***

Watched so many shows lately, R.O.D OVA, Nagi no Asukara, Blue Gender, Buddy Complex, Eden of the East and Space Dandy. Currently watching Nichijou, Aldnoah.Zero and Mushibugyo.

BeoTeK also give Eden of the East a go, it's a 11 part series and is concluded with 2 films. Very thought provoking and funny.

Which brings me to an important question. Why do so few animes have truly "happy" endings...?

I like it actually - having happy endings all the damn time becomes tiresome, although all the open endings drives me nuts from time to time. Especially the romantic comedies :D

Getting all the cake but I can't eat any.

Anyhow - I think I might have picked up too many series this season, so I'm going to be keen to drop a couple. Gunslinger Stratos is first on the list.

Absolutely BUT there are incredibly few animes with truly happy endings (ie Clannad and after story). I'm probably talking more about romances here but the open ending bull crap drives me nuts as well.

Many times anime is simply made to promote the manga from which it is made. That's why some of them have a cliff hanger ending - Deadman Wonderland comes to mind. Then again as you said many romantic comedies have happy endings because it fits with the style of the show.

Personally I like the endings that leave you thinking, although a happy ending is nice sometimes too.

I'm farking hooked on Fate/Zero... intense man!

... but I must sleep

Wait till you start watching Unlimited Blade works and, realise that part 2 is still airing weekly.

New DBZ series OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

Hope its better than DBZ GT but OMG OMG OMG

GT was never official story. It was not created by Akira Toriyama, only the characters where. Despite Toei animation working on it, it is not officially Dragon ball. Looking at the website and twitter posts and my pre-school level of Japanese... AFAIK this follows after Z, Toriyama is going did the original concept and is also working on the screenplay, and character designs.

So excited!

Some say it follows after the defeat of buu. Others say it follows the after the newest movie. I am hoping it delves into the other gods that bills speaks of.

Soooo... I watched Blood-C and Blood-C:The Last Dark. I must say that it was amazing... The plot twists and turns were awesome.... Although some may find it too gruesome or bloody... I must say it is topping my List (Top 10) :)

Currently watching Black Butler and Claymore. Black Butler is weird but I'm enjoying it thus far. Claymore feels like it might have some interesting lore to it but I'm a bit on the fence since I haven't much in the way of an overarching plot.

Just started log horizon, I'm 10 episodes in and really enjoying it, it'll top SAO for me if it stays this good

Log Horizon >>>>>>> Sword Art Online :p

Anyone who says otherwise is wrong because I'm Superman :p

The entirety of SAO to date >>>>>> the entirety of Log Horizon to date :p

In all honesty - the second season of LH was disappointing.

I'll admit, I used to love SAO. I recently did a binge rewatch of everything SAO, and I realized how much I actually dislike it (characters are probably what ruined it for me) as the episodes carried on (maybe it's just the context of having watched much more anime after the 1st season). But yeah, it used to be in my top ten list, but now it's probably pushed to obscurity in my mind.

Finally got around to watching, and completing Aldnoah.Zero and found it to be extremely, generic. Perhaps I have indulged myself way too much in the robotto genre with Neon Gen, Gundam and Macross.
