The Official "MyGaming" Anime Thread

For DBZ fans who were somewhat put off by the fact that Dragon Ball Super's first two arcs followed were essentially the Battle of Gods and Resurrection F, well, now's the time to watch with the concept of a multiverse tournament being introduced in the new arc (I don't read the manga). Anyway, that's from episode 28 onward.

While I do agree with some of the content in the video, as with any one who works in a competitive industry, you move to where you feel that you will benefit the most.

I think it would be amazing if MADHOUSE became that one studio who would hire different animators for every show. It could make every show different in many aspects but still keep it's Madhouse flare.

I'm looking for something new to watch while waiting for S2 of AOT so maybe someone could recommend something. Is there anything worth watching along the lines of Hellsing or even Chrono Crusade?

I can recommend, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Garden Of Sinners, Shin Sekai Yori, Fate/Zero, Fate/UBW, HunterXHunter, D.gray-man, Death Parade, Shirobako, Gundam 00/Build Fighters/Iron Blooded Orphans, Fairy Tale, InuYasha, Rurouni kenshin, Tokyo Ghoul, Knights of Sidonia, Steins;Gate and Ergo Proxy.

I've watched Iron Blooded Orphans (fucking brilliant if you ask me), am currently watching 00 (6 episodes in, good times :)), and have yet to check out Build Fighters. How good is it?

Also, I must admit that the first 2 episodes of Iron-Blooded Orphans hooked me better than the first 2 of Thunderbolt (also the art is great but it seems like it's trying to be very sophisticated in it's use of colours, not sure how I feel about that:rolleyes:).

Build Fighters is basically Gunpla (Model Gundams) that are put to fight in an arena. You could say it's Gundam meets Yu-Gi-Oh in a way, there are references to almost all of the Gundam models in the show, which is pretty cool. 00 is still one of my favorite, despite it being similar to WING in some ways.

Awesome thanks. There goes my cap.

I've always wanted to get into Gundam but wasnt sure where to start. Currently rewatching Blue Gender.

If you really want to get into Gundam you can start at the beginning, way back in 1979 but not many people watch it these days because of the dated animation. Here is a chart to help you out. It is a bit dated as it does not have Thunderbolt and The Origin on it, otherwise everything not in the Universal Century can be watched without prior knowledge of the Gundam series.

Otherwise from an outsiders perspective, looking it you are not really missing much, it's mostly popular for it's story. Where as the other shows such as 00, Wing and SEED are more known for it's mecha.

Thanks will check it out. I might start at the beginning. It can't be worse than the old Macross which i still enjoy.

Despite Naruto Shippuden being in fillers again, they are much more bearable and more story related than almost every other filler episode. Itachi is now the main focus in this bout of fillers, and last weeks episode really surprised me. It seems that the value of the production has increased somewhat as well as giving finer details to Itachi and Ataksuki. Many smaller details are also given to the other members too, Kakuzu's inherent loss of partners, and some past members that where never actually revealed. I quite liked Akatsuki when they where a lesser known entity working in the shadows. These current fillers may just be what Shippuden needs before it's final push to it's completion later this year.

I won't fret over it, all good things have and end, Shippuden is no exception. Perhaps once it's completed Studio Pierrot and TV Tokyo could look into getting Bleach back into production. It was infamous for running into fillers due to it catching up with the manga more and more often. D-Gray-man and Berserk at set to air later this year, so there is still much to look forward to, unless you are already enjoying some of the shows airing this season.

Satan is a liar!!! You won't trick me, demon! (I kid:rolleyes:).

Honestly, I want to try but I'm just so indifferent with the Shippuden anime at this point. I just don't the energy and time to invest in the non main plot filler episodes. I think the fact that we only had 8 or 9 main plot episodes last year pulled me out of it. At least I ended up completing the manga so I don't have completion angst. But I'll come back once the infinite filler no jutsu ends

im going to give it a go later this week and hope it grabs me like it did with some other fillers

i love the ataksuki they so epic. As well i agree that they are much cooler being in the shadows

I did not watch the Jiraya tales fillers I did however watch the first "inifite dream" episode thinking it was just a short break and giving a glimpse of what the characters are dreaming of, while stuck in Tsuki no me. At that stage Naruto had ended for a while already. Little did I know it was on the following week too, upon checking a TV Tokyo schedule it was set to air for some time as well.
While they are still fillers some of the earlier episodes of Itachi's story are slightly less entertaining (ninja cats), it still gives a couple of views into his and other characters. At this stage I believe things could go one way or the other, blatant bad filler story, similar to Jiraya tales or something more intriguing akin to last weeks episode. With Kisame showing up, it may just be the latter.

I am currently watching Hell Girl (on my own )and Infinite Stratos (Second season with my bro). Must say both are good but IS seems to be becoming a lot more about fan service in the second season

Just Finished Hell Girl Two Mirrors (Season 2) and going to start Three Vessels (season 3) soon. It's a bit slow initially, but it's really good when it gets momentum.

Well they could be detectives trying to con them into confessing...

That is plausible, my only assumption is it would not have been much of a show if everyone confessed to their wrong doings. If you have not seen it already, you should give xxxHolic, Ghost hunt and Mononoke a try they are all to a certain degree very similar.
