The Official "MyGaming" Anime Thread

I've got a few sites that I use - most of them use RapidShare or similar services to host their files - can't remember all the names now - but you can look for Anikat. I'll post the others later.

Anime Eden - sadly - seems to be breathing its last - a couple of their servers went down and they don't seem to be inclined to get them back up again - nothing's been updated since November.

It's sad, they were a great source for some of the older series in my collection.

Yeah Anime Eden had the better quality Fairy Tale eps. Da-Anime only has the 60-70MB files. I need the 300MB+ files. Will check out the other recommendations.

I noticed that. :D Finished getting all the HD rips for FMA: Brotherhood that I was short of.

Fairy Tail here I come!!

PS: Full Metal Alchemist manga chapter 104 is out. Looks like another one or two chapters left!!!1 Almost finished!!!

I was thinking the the same thing. I'm really hoping that there'll be three more chapters. Two to beat the baddy and one whole chapter for closure. We'll see what happens.

fairy tail is awesome
especially the manga!!
hitman reborn, bleach, one piece and naruto were all hectic chapters this week!
bleach filler sucks... naruto is okay-ish

New manga chapters of one piece and naruto is out didnt see bleach this week.

Started watching new show Durarara!!

Plot: Mikado Ryūgamine is a young man who longs for the exciting life of the big city. At the invitation of his childhood friend Masaomi, he transfers to a school in Ikebukuro. Masaomi warns him about people he doesn't want to cross in the city: a violent man dressed like a bartender, an information merchant, and a mysterious gang called "Dollars". And to top it off, Mikado witnesses an urban legend on his first day in the city: the Headless Rider astride a black motorcycle

Watched up till ep 4, seems every ep someone else tells their part of the story.

Also watched 5 centimeters per second, eureka seven pocketful of rainbows and The Sky Crawlers Movies recently. All of them were pretty good.

I thought 5cm per second was awesome ... Makoto Shinkai is probably one of my favourite anime directors.

On that note, it's his birthday in March - his fans are celebrating the second annual Makoto Shinkai day :D from March 5 - 7 (3 days, but who cares). If you enjoyed 5cm, you should watch another one of his movies - Beyond the Clouds, the Promised Place - the official English name is The Place Promised in Our Early Days.

I prefer the first version of the name, personally :p

apart from awx where can i also look for a soundtrack for ghost in a shell SAC. i seem most places are sold out or charging from R500-R1500 for it.

Might be best just to look at overseas sites?

Dunno why, but any local site that has any kind of anime soundtrack listed has it at a ridiculous price. Mind you ... looking at some of the overseas prices now - it seems like the prices aren't so ridiculous after all ... $39 for a soundtrack 0.0

Anyways ... you can take a look at this lot - but once you add on shipping costs, you're probably going to be paying in that range anyways -

I quite liked it too (5cm per sec) - very beautiful work. I realize now that it was the last anime I've watched and it's been two months now. What's happening here then? No anime in two months? The adsl line can't come soon enough, this travesty needs fixing... :/

Edit: quote/reply is quite broken on this new forum structure.

I've only been keeping up to date with the latest eps of Fairy Tail and Full Metal Alchemist. Need to start watching some new stuff again.

I like all of Makoto Shinkai's movies ... they're always quite deep and insightful. although he always seems to deal with a similar theme. For instance 5cm per second and Hoshi no Koe (Voices of a Distant Star) dealt with the growing distance between two people, and while Beyond the Clouds had a different plot, it also brushed up against the theme.

But I'm not saying this as a criticism, I still love his work. His movies also have a very unique style of art, I've found.

I hated 5cm per second with a passion. The animation and music was all beautiful but it really worked on my nerves in a serious way.
But hey, thats anime, we all don't enjoy the same things:D

I also really didn't enjoy FLCL either, although lots of people thought it was awesome:eek:

The sheer weirdness of FLCL is what I loved about it. You don't get to watch that kind of crazy everyday. :D
