The Official "MyGaming" Anime Thread

Watched AIR over the weekend due to the fact that it has such high ratings I thought I would give it a try. It started out ok-ish but OMG did it end in a whimper. I think people just like rating things highly that they don't understand, and thus it must have been good. I was thoroughly underwhelmed :(
 
I want to watch this has anyone seen it?

Dude the quality is not bad. The sound is not as good as a normal one though. But really is amazing for the size.

I have honestly never noticed anything funny/different with the sound. I download proper 720p Mkv's regularly and I honestly can't see the difference between them and the mini versions. Rmvb's as shadow said is another story altogether :)

Ok so I watches some more it was my imagination. Pity I don't have uncapped.
 
Call me FOS, but I prefer my 480p and 720p Encodes, some times I will even wait for DB or DVD releases if the censor too much :mad: Then again some TV station's upscale 480p to 720.

Naruto and Bleach are both up scales, and trust me the RAW is murdered with scan lines and ghosting.

Don't mention rmvb's 80mb Size, ~92Kb audio quality [had one with 64k once] and sometimes 700Kbs video bit-rate *Shudder*

Well the mini-mkv's also have 480p and 720p versions like I said ;) Censoring is a whole different issue altogether. I also try and wait for the uncensored versions.

It's difficult but certian fansub group will release uncensored versions. Eg GG subs released the less censored version of HSOD but it took a little longer. Sometimes you have to wait for the DVD release to get the uncensored versions...

yea most of the time it's that.

I know Tokyo MX tries to air uncensored shows most of the time but at a much later air time [12pm Onwards], so speed groups usually ignore those RAW releases.

See Eclipse is "going into Hibernation" Gona miss them... :(
