Quick announcement: Kawakami Tomoko (seiyuu) passed away yesterday at the age of 40. For those of you not aware who she is - she voiced some pretty well known characters, such as:

Soi Fong - Bleach
Rosette - Chrno Crusade
Dream Girl - Clannad
Shindou Hikaru - Hikaru no Go
Kurata Sayuri - Kanon

among others - she's had a massive career.

Just finished watching Shippuuden (or is it Shippuden??) Episode 71.

Gotta say the whole commotion of Tsunade declaring Konoha in a level two - and then in a level one state of emergency was pretty awesome (although no one really seemed to give a rat's ass about what level emergency they were in "whistling:)

Wasn't Naruto supposed to get insanely stronger from his several years of training with Jiraiya? He doesn't seem much stronger than he was before the training - he's still using kage bunshin and rasengan to no end.. or maybe the emphasis is supposed to be on him maturing?

Yep, what Naruto needs is some new kickass moves.. rasengun and all of its different forms is getting boring :P Creativity died somewhere along the lines.

Naruto (and Bleach, for that matter), lost my interest because they were just running around in the same circle - start off with a weakling, get him beaten up a bit, he goes for training, comes back with some new moves and stuff and whallops the bloke who gave him a hiding in the first place. End circle, rinse and repeat. Sometimes the same guys come back for another dose of punishment.

I got really irritated in Bleach. The first season was pretty epic, with Ichigo needing to come to terms with his new powers and learning to use them, and eventually beating some of the strongest fighters in Seireitei (Kenpachi, Byakuya etc). Fast forward a bit (where Orihime gets kidnapped) and he's fighting the Espada, and despite being uber-powerful gets his ass handed to him. Who comes and saves him - managing to kick the asses of the same guys who were giving Ichigo grief?

The same guys who he pounded in the first season :/ The same guys, who, in the interim, weren't going through special training. I had a healthy dose of WTF circling through my head - and eventually I just got irritated and stopped watching.

There's a reason a story has a beginning and an end, something the creators of Bleach and Naruto haven't latched onto yet.

Yeah man not my cup of tea. I like a deep story that actually progressess into something amazing when the final episode comes into play.
Take code geass the ending is just epic.

Totally agree, but it looks like Naruto is finally on it's way to an end game. Which seems to have increased the quality a bit on the manga side.

Yeah you guys are probably right. Although Naruto seems pretty cool to me and its the first anime i've gotten into (unless you consider Dragonball Z or Pokemon)

Am gonna continue watching till Naruto defeats Pain.. heard it's really awesome. Then i'm gonna start watching some of the other (probably better, from what it seems) anime series i have like Basilisk, Claymore and D.Gray-man

Also gonna watch The Animatrix. Not sure if it's technically anime. Anyone watched it? Is there any real storyline to it?

d.gray man is also a typical shounen show lol.. good but even bleach is better..

right now im loving hanasaku iroha,C, anohana, steins gate and tiger&bunny
really awesome shows this season..

im announcing it.. AnoHana is my show of the year. really gonna take something special to beat it..

I've been hearing some rave reviews about it - waiting for the DVD to surface before I watch it though. Another show from the Spring releases that caught my attention was Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko - I'm looking forward to giving that a watch.

steins gate is consistently awesome so far

good morning

Would like to know why the nose’s of characters in anime start bleeding when they do something perverted? Like when they ask what panty’s the girl is wearing.

Bleeding nose = Turned on in a major way (which is basically the same thing as having a raging boner going). But showing raging boners isn't cute (and would probably chase the male audience away) - or in the case of the girls with bleeding noses, even possible.

good morning MyGG oracle.

i would like to know if there is any good sci-fi anime that doesn't have any robots in them?
