The Official "MyGaming" Anime Thread

It's a very good anime, Lelouch plays his part so well even in the end of it all, party one of the reasons why I loved it so much was the development of his character. Also as Dee says it does tend to veer off the tracks at some points but it's still very awesome.

I started the first five episodes but couldn't get into it. Maybe I'll try again at some point.

Busy watching the following

Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko
Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru

Both pretty funny :D

Railgun S2

Just watched the R18 3rd berserk movie, it was fuckin insane. They finally got the animation right - oh and skull knight is back.

Forgot to add, I found the scores were really disappointing, and much inferior to those of the series.

Awesome taste. Henneko died off a bit for me thought. Yahari is just awesome. Only got better. Loving railgun. Accelerator is the best.

The R18 version just blurs the lower body parts, so it's not really that different from the R15 version at all, nothing else was edited.

Okay - so this next. No idea if any of you have heard of it, but I'm popping it in here.

It isn't strictly speaking anime related - its designs are anime-styled, although it's being produced by RoosterTeeth (who did Red vs Blue). It's called RWBY (pronounced Ruby), and I don't have a cooking clue what it's about, but it looks like fun. It's launching in July, and there are four trailers available, Red, White, Black and Yellow. Watch them in that order ;)

They have some voice-acting in Black and Yellow (which is where it kinda falls flat), but I'm keen to see what it's about:

Red:

White:

There's some more info on the series wiki, about the characters, their abilities and so on - but the majority of it is speculation - the producers have confirmed some of it, but they've kept mum for the most part.

I thought the animation was done in MMD (MikuMikuDance) since the movement was so similar, but it turns out something else was used - no idea what.

Anyways, premiere is in the first weekend of July ;)

And believe it or not, there's already a fair bit of fan-art. The white girl (Weiss) and red girl (Ruby) being the most popular.

Couldn't wait any longer, watched the terribly subbed version of Berserk Film 3. R15 or R18 version some parts are slightly disturbing for sensitive people, I can believe they left A LOT of information out and changed quite a few things from the manga, I was a bit disappointed at the end.

It is still hauntingly beautiful, viciously violent, and the bloodbath you expected from Kentarō Miura, Studio 4C made some improvements to their CGI, I think they had less to make use of as there were not so many large scale battles. I won't spoil any more for those that have not watched it, but quite a bit of information is left over for the next film, whenever that is due. (2014/15)

I am eagerly anticipating the series when it comes out in July, which is just over a week away.
I do like what Monty Oum has done with the trailers. The animation is quite well done and has a unique feel to it, and the music is brilliant.
I just feel that the wait is painstakingly long, ever since they realeased the Red trailer back in November last year.

I prefer the Red and White trailers over the other two, simply because of the fact that there is no dialog in them. I cannot quite get used to the voice actors when they speak, it feels a bit wrong, if you know what I am saying. I am not sure if it's because I am accustomerd to listening to Japanese or that the voice acting is very amateur and does not seem to fit the characters well.

That aside, I will still watch the series to see what it's about, since the trailers seem to show a lot of action packed goodness.

I see this more of a Monty Oum production rather than a Rooster Teeth one. I learned about him from his Dead Fantasy videos, which are brilliant. Now that he has a proper job now, I expect great things from him. RWBY is just the beginning.

Watching Spider Man animated series ( 1994 ), currently on episode 29 . Brings back sooooo many memories. It is arguably the best Spider Man series ever, not like that new Ultimate spider man shit made for braindead 5-year olds. I just hate Parker's forgiving and kind hearted nature, who never harms anyone even though they harmed him. I guess the Punisher is more in my line of preference.

Spiderman in the anime thread.. Shame on you. Hataraku Maou is finished. Hope there's a season 2. Was surprisingly enjoyable although few episodes weren't as funny as others.

From what I've read so far - it seems that RT gave Monty the go ahead on his pet project (this one) once a certain number of RvsB had been completed. So yeah, it's his baby, just with RT backing.

I get what you're saying with the voice acting. I also preferred the first two trailers because of the lack of voice, but then again, voices had to come at some point. I'm fine with Yang's (Yellow trailer) voice, and Blake's (Black) wasn't too shoddy either, but Ruby's voice really didn't suit her character - that was just really crappy (end of Yellow trailer). I'm kind of scared to hear what Weiss is going to sound like, since I already have an image built up in my mind (I'll drop it here when I can figure out an anime character closest to what I have in mind) - kind of a cool, distant personality type.

Given the number of fan-art submissions on Pixiv already, it seems that it already has the attention of Japanese fans, and if it does well enough maybe we'll get a Japanese dub at some point in the future. It happened with My Little Pony after all, so there's hope.
