The Official "MyGaming" Anime Thread

Don't get me started on posting moe - there will never be discussion in this thread again :p

The reason I was posting that pic was actually because of the nod to another series - that particular scene is a homage to one of Hyouka's protagonists:

And last week there was Evangelion's Gendou Ikari.

But! But! I just discovered that Hitagi just had her hair cut short at the end of Nisemonogatari!

WHY DO THEY DO THIS TO ME!? My heart can not take this kind of punishment anymoe~!

Both Tsubasa and Hitagi had haircuts. I wasn't impressed ...

I prefer long hair on girls, so I'm looking forward to Kanbaru's arc that's airing in August ...

I thought the next series was about how Araragi became a vampire? AFAIK Nekomonogatari is about Tsubasa, hence the word cat in the title, Kanbaru should get her own show as well.

I wish everyone watched Monogatari it is AMAZING!

http://www.gfycat.com/MintyLoathsomeGoldeneye I stumbled upon this when I was rewatching 00, I now understand why they sometimes call it a "space opera".

Kanbaru's arc wasn't part of Monogatari Second Season, which contained the following arcs:

Nekomonogatari (Shiro) - Tsubasa
Kabukimonogatari - Mayoi
Otorimonogatari - Nadeko
Onimonogatari - Shinobu, and finally
Koimonogatari - Hitagi

Kanbaru's arc, Hanamonogatari, should technically have come before Nadeko's, but it is being aired seperately as a 5-episode series. As far as I know all 5 of them are being released simultaneously on August 16, after being delayed (original air date was supposed to be May 31 onwards).

So never fear, Kanbaru is getting her bit. Not sure why they shuffled it around like that though.

As for Koyomi's story - the prequel to everything - that's Kizumonogatari, and it was supposed to come out as a feature-length episode (a movie) in the same way as Nekomonogatari (Kuro). I have no idea what happened to that plan. I mean ... it was first announced in 2010, at one point scheduled to release in 2012 ... and then ... silence.

Maybe I should just take my copy of the LN and start translating it. Hopefully by the time the movie actually comes out, I'll have the first line translated :D

So they decided to make various seasons and split all the stories into them, which involved all the characters, that makes it a bit confusing, but with your help I seem to understand it better now. :)

Koyomi's arc is probably what I am anticipating the most! Every few episodes there is a ever so slight hint at his past as a vampire but nothing is really revealed.

Well ... each of the arcs is based on one particular novel - they just combined all of them into one season. The thing is, none of the stories are exactly chronological ... there's a lot of overlap between them even though they are technically standalone stories - that's why sometimes you'd find reference to other events as well that didn't immediately make sense.

At risk of spoilers ... I'll present this link - they organised all the events of all the novels currently in print in chronological order. Click at your own risk though - as I said ... it's full of spoilers.

And even with that I'm kitten-confused.

Guys!!! No Game, No Life:eek:!!!! I can't deal with the sheer amount of genius that the anime is made up of:eek::D.

Holding out on it until it is complete. I keep reading on Reddit how awesome it is. Finally got around after my Monogatari binge and depression as well as cramming for my English exams to make attempts to complete K, Dusk Maiden, Kill la Kill and Magi.

I got a spreadsheet all set out on what to watch when.

Attack on titan trying to enjoy the rest of it but finding it hard to.

How far did you get? I found it dragged its feet towards the middle, they have this massive build up then throw the conclusion out in 2 or 3 episodes. To make it worse the Manga is not complete so you going to be slightly disappointed with the conclusion the show takes.

I had the same issue - got as far as episode 12 before the pacing put me off completely.

On episode 11.

Guys I have been enjoying Sidonia no Kishi, love this anime....just feels a bit weird watching it.

Just downloaded Deadman Wonderland, so I will be watching this soon enough...hope it will be good.

May want to read the manga afterwards they really dropped the ball with creating a show with an ongoing manga. Thankfully it has been concluded.
