Just stay with the subs so much better than most dubs.

Ooph... Dead Man Wonderland was so butchered, it had so much potential and they went and killed it half way through, because at the time the manga was ongoing.

I wonder if I should consider doing a personal recommendation page on my blog - I'm always looking for new content to add. But that probably means I'll have to start reviewing stuff again ...

it's not that I find Elfen Lied odd it's just that there are many more animes that can be classified as odd. Boogiepop, Lain, Texhnolyze come to mind. I think that it's overly done for the genre it is based on. I understand they wanted to make a psychological horror type anime and have a cute little girl as the lead for all the destruction but it did not gel so well for me, they took two extremes then blended them together and it did not work out so well.

Hellsing Ultimate, Black Lagoon and Berserk work well simply because they are dark fantasy anime/mangas, and violence is a part of the story telling.

I would place Elfen Lied along with 3x3 eyes, M.D Geist and Kite where the violence is less of a plot mechanic more of a way to surprise or shock people.

It's still running ... but I'll close it soon. I probably won't do it again because it's kinda pointless if you only get 40 - 50 people voting each time. And really ... if I'm going to go to that much effort, I'd like to get a proper response.

lol ... I actually considered it ... but seriously? I just don't have the budget for that sort of thing.

I get nothing out of this, and people who see the results might cotton on to a series they wouldn't have considered before. People should maybe just stop being lazy.

Considering that I posted it both on the Anime & Manga Group page, as well as the Anime South Africa page - multiple times - and both those pages have a reach of 1,000+ ... yes.

I'd be happy with 100 voters (less than 10%), but I'm struggling to even get 50.

I'll actually try asking Sahil to drop a link on the All Otaku page ... might get me a few extra takers.

Nah ... I wasn't. Pretty much the same thing happened last time ... 50 odd people voted ... enough for me to do a top 5, but not a top 10. I'm specifically trying to get a feel for what people are watching and enjoying locally, and trying to imply that there are things other than Naruto and Dragonball to watch.

So I'll finish it this one time, and then just ... meh. I'll see how I feel in December.
 
Watched Terra Formars episode 2...wow, this was such a great episode. I really wished there was no censoring :)

This week's episode of Fairy Tail was a little boring, looks like they in fillers now. Watched today's episode of One Piece, and it was nice...great to see plans are starting now.
