The PS4 is about to get a lot cheaper - for a limited time only

Yeah 2nd "special" price on them in a month, They aren't selling well, even 2nd hand ps4 and x1's are struggling to get R4500 and they end up selling for R4000.

I don't how well PS4 are selling in the country overall, but I work in a retail store and we sold 8 PS4's last week alone. That's pretty good if you ask me.

There is so much stock available that they aren't bothering ordering at the moment.

I also have a feeling that we'll get an announcement for the PS4 /Revision 1/Slim or whatever they are calling it in the next 2 months. I've noticed that all the major Etailers/Retailers in the US are also selling them at really really good prices.
 
Oh my goodness! R500 off!?!?!? That's amazing, spectacular with a little bit of awesome!!! Stop the presses!!!

The problem with these new consoles is the scary price of the games. R800-R900 a pop with a very small selection of games (compared to the exact same game for R600 (and cheaper) on PS3/X360) and then there isn't even a real second hand market (yet) to get games cheap. I think that is most likely what holds most people back somewhat even though R5k-R6k for these consoles aren't bad pricing at this point.
