The PS4's next update includes PS4 to PC remote play

Surely this will cause issues with multiplayer titles?

eg. in a FPS game it would be beneficial to someone to play with kb mouse and thus have the upperhand over other players using controllers?
 
You'll probably still have to use a DS4 to play the games... Input devices have to be programmed into the games to work. If a game wasn't built to accept kb+mouse input, it won't work. I'm sure someone will build drivers to emulate the DS4 with kb+mouse the moment this hits the PC.

And therein lies the problem.


Yeah, I remember when War Thunder came to PC you could plug in a USB kb mouse to the PS4 and gain the upperhand :p they soon patched that.
 
How big is the range on the DS4 remote then?

Sorta limited if your PS4 and PC are quite far apart.

By that statement you're implying it's just going to be streaming to the PC, not on the PC? (much like a Vita or PSTV).

But the range is pretty decent, though when I'm in the kitchen (approx 8-10m) the headset starts to break up, but functions still work.

Yeah unless I'm confused isn't that what its doing? As far as i know the PS4 will continue with the processing etc and will just stream the game to your PC. The same way you can use your gaming PC to stream a steam game to your laptop?

PS4 to PC remote play will allow PC owners to stream their favourite PS4 games from their PlayStation 4 to the player’s very own PC via an official app
