I can't connect to Steam tonight. Is it just me or are you guys having problems too?

I tried two different ISP's and no luck. But I've also been having hard drive problems, so I'm just making sure.

Nope, WebAfrica and a free Incredible Corruption account. I think there's something wrong with my actual Steam files though which sucks a lot. I can't even copy the files to somewhere else. Going to try properly this weekend and will then try to reinstall Steam.

before you do any of this, make sure you have no set proxy in IE nor anything like steam watch is running.

try this (the blob removal) :

1) make sure you have exited seam

2) check with ctrl + alt + del

3) go to your steam installation, delete the registry.blob

4) start steam up... and wait till it's done with all it's crap.


to move steam to another drive, well i normally do this:

1) install steam onto target drive

2) rename new steam folder to something else

3) move "old" steam to target drive

4) rename moved steam folder to what the new installation of steam was
 
Magicka looks like a great little game, but I'm seeing that a lot of people are struggling with tons of bugs, and some of those bugs are gamebreaking...

Thanks Pr⊕phet. I tried the blob thing which unfortunately didn't work. But I did a clean reinstall of Steam and now it's working again. :)
 
Anybody else noticed this. It seems we now have 6 specific steam SA servers. Checking under regions we now have the choice of two mweb servers(one for joburg and one for capetown), also IS based one in joburg and a webafrica joburg. There is also two just listed as south africa- johannesburg and south africa-cape town.

But seems we have quite a few different options under settings now.

Those last two in the list are most likely the WebAfrica servers ...

RPG elements: Heroes lead the armies and learn skills, spells and abilities from an ability tree for experience points.
