Though I should explain, other than the backwards comparability thing Im not really bothered. My internet is always on anyways and pre-owned games have become less & less worth it over the years.

This weekend is gonna be full of orsome, it's the first time in about 6 or 7 years that my bday has been on a weekend :D

/Sits back and waits for the inevitable slew of Nerd Rage following the "rumour" that next playstation wont be Backwards compatible, will require always on Internet & won't allow pre-owned game.

Did you check the new Xbox is going the same route... I can understand them wanting more sales, but the whole point of the console was to have games you can trade easily with friends. Now you may as well hook up a pc to the TV and use the controllers on there.

Its a pleasure Wenzie

Hai Avenged. I am holding thumbs that we will be getting rain in the cape today or tomorrow. Feels like it, its freezing outside and gone very dark.

Its a rumour, on both fronts, the chances of it showing up in the final product is slim at best. The problem with pre-owned games is that the publisher/developer doesn't get a cut (fist one to make a used car sales reference gets negative rep). Think about older games say Oblivion that was an xbox launch title, copies of it may have been sold then resold in as pre-onwed several times, each of those consecutive re-sells was pure profit for the retailer, while the dev/publisher got nothing except the initial income from the first sale. Its way online passes have become so popular, that $10 a pre-owned customer needs to spend to get access to MP or whatever makes up for the lost income from the preowned sales. Since alot of people don't buy new games often/at all in the larger scheme of things the dev/publisher loses out. Had there not been a pre-owned copy the chances of the customer buying a new copy of the title is higher (though still not guaranteed). Now there are alot of arguments for and against this debate, I am for the discontinuation of pre-owned games mainly due to being a aspiring dev myself and as such associating more closely with the opinions of developers.

Personally I feel the point of consoles isn't to have games you can trade but instead have games that just work when you stick them in the console and to make games available to a larger audience (which it has) since not everyone wants/needs a gaming computer.

I am not interested in debating this point, especially not in TK, it is merely my opinion of the subject.

The building manager is an idiot.

He keeps issue me with other companies parking. The first time he did it I asked him to clamp their wheels. Chaos ensued. :D

I honestly can say it should take about an hour to an hour an half to get to town on bad days. If you time it right then it goes faster

But then again I make sure to find work away from town :)

No chance that CPT is even REMOTELY as bad as JHB, however we have had some days where the traffic didn't move between 7:30 and 9:30... A little bit of roadworks and you'd swear people forgot how to drive!

On average it takes me an hour to travel 40km (into Sandton Central) if I leave at 6am. If I leave ten minutes later it'll take me two hours.

God I love British public transport. Get on the train at the station 5min from my place, arrive at work 45 min later, walk 10min to my office building. 1 Change over. No traffic, worst I get is a busy morning with too many people around.
