So at the end of the day the only difference is the casing and the menu.

If you look at a plasma you can get a Samsung 51" for about R6000.

Murphzor I would go LCD. Checked out the Plasma's before I bought mine and found the refresh rate lacking especially for gaming.

That's true, a mate of mine has a 40" HDR and really, I can't tell the difference. As long as you viewing distance is sufficient.

Full HD is another one of those buzz words that salesman use to get you to buy the more expensive TV.

Unfortunately they catch out your regular uninformed shopper.

As I said, if you can spot the difference you are superhuman.

Not here you dont unless you buy the £200/£300 found no name brands. I didn't think there was a difference either, since I couldn't see anything diff in the store. But since my Full 1080P HD Tv landed and I play games & watch Blu-Rays on it... there is a huge diff. On Full HD picture is that much crisper, sharper. Sucker Punch, Inception, Band of Brother on Blu-ray will make you cry tears of joy its so pretty.
