Not here you dont unless you buy the £200/£300 found no name brands. I didn't think there was a difference either, since I couldn't see anything diff in the store. But since my Full 1080P HD Tv landed and I play games & watch Blu-Rays on it... there is a huge diff. On Full HD picture is that much crisper, sharper. Sucker Punch, Inception, Band of Brother on Blu-ray will make you cry tears of joy its so pretty.

lol sorry dude but I have to call bull shit on this one, you honestly can't see the difference.

It is certainly not crisper, sharper.

You are comparing the 100 year old HD ready plasma you had vs your new FHD 46".

Full HD is another one of those buzz words that salesman use to get you to buy the more expensive TV.

Unfortunately they catch out your regular uninformed shopper.

As I said, if you can spot the difference you are superhuman.

Well even some FHD TVs can look pretty fugly up close.

Comparing it to the 36" Hd Ready LCD I had back in SA. If it was the effects of having shit visuals for so long it would have worn off by now & its still a joy everytime I put something in to watch/Play. The only thing that looks shit is regular TV (since we dont have satellite or digital HD signal) also I have shitty eye site so....

But to each his own. No sales man sold me my new TV and It has been the best buy ever.

True that. Before buying me and the Mrs went to several electronic retailers and looked at hundreds of different make/models and some of them, which cost more than my one, had utterly SHIT picture quality.

I popped into Dion Wired yesterday. Salesman was trying to sell R50 000 TV to this one guy, and he responds "if I wait until next year it will be R25k" Salesman response "Um" :D

Thats why I went for plasma. In fact I have a 40" Samsung LCD in my room, FULL HD and its fucking useless. Picture quality is crap. My 50" Plasma destroys it hands down.

For SD TV plasma is far superior.

Lol! Classic. I hate retail shopping. Some snot nose jappy trying to sell me something I know 10X more of than he does. That happened in the GAME here the other day when I bought Dark Souls. Guy was like "yeah its awesome, I haz that at home can't wait to jam some of it." So I replay "Hardcore RPG fan?" To which he replies, without flintching "Yeah I love Assassin's Creed and those ones"
I paid for my game and vowed to never buy anything in a store that I can't get online.

Yeah but you can't exactly compare a 36" to a 46" :p

Regular TV or games/dvd/blu-ray?

My experience has been reverse. Response time on the plasma's cause motion blur and fuzzy picture.

SD TV looks better on a Plasma. Games / DVD / blu ray look the same if not better on plasma due to plasmas displaying white and blacks better.

Why not? Im not talking about the size?

You saying that your 46" tv looks waaaaaaaaay better than your old 32" tv? Obviously.

You cant say that is because your 46" is FHD. It looks better because its a new TV and is 46" :D

The size, should if nothing else, reduce the quality of visual media since its displaying it larger resolution on a larger screen. Larger resolution on small screen looks better, larger resolution on large screen should ook the same? :/

I find plasma's fuzzy and that motion blur pisses me off.

At the end of the day ur happy with ur plasma, Im happy with my LCD and whatever Murph gets he'll propably be happy with that unless he pulls a noob and buys a piece of shit. :p

lol then you haven't seen a "new" plasma dude. There is no motion blur or fuzziness on mine whatsoever. That would also piss me off.

Maybe on that antique you had in your house :p

Lol Maybe but when looking instore at Plasma next to LCD, displaying the same image the LCD had the better picture quality. But I guess it is possible that there are "better" ones out there.

I was surprised to see how badly UC1 has aged. It is UGLY! Compared to Reach, Skyrim, Rage. Booted it up the otherday when I didn't fancy Skyrim and was like "Why the Fuck aren't the textures loading... oh wait they HAVE. :("
