waiting for my kinect to arrive later today. Felt like getting something different and fun for holidays.
All xmas shopping is officially done, now to relax until just after xmas. My days are consisting of gaming, movies, series and swimming only until just after New Year.

Kinect is cool but the game limit it. Only reason I miss mine is for voice and gesture control while watching movies off LoveFilm.

Considering getting me and the Mrs a Wii with extra controller. She has been nagging me about the new Super Mario Bros, Mario Galaxy and Zelda games for ages. Plus it might be something chilled we can play together since she isn't a huge hardcore gamer like me.
 
i picked up dance central / your fitness yoga thing / kinect adventures to start off with.
Next on list is one of the extreme sports bundles and then stars wars when it comes out. Hopefully they will start releasing more hectic titles soon.

lol joker :p I wanted something different, Battlefield is satisfying that fps itch for now.

Its pretty cool to start but the novelty wears off pretty quickly unfortunatly.

lol someone said a page or so back that holiday season killed the TK.

Therefore seen as thought Christmas is based on Mr Jesus, it is logical to blame him for killing das TK.
 
Do the new Macs have thunderbolts. Pretty impressive.

I was blown away when I heard about Thunderbolt last year. Almost didn't believe it was real.

Most, if not all, 2011 models do. I know the late 2011 update for the macbook pro (which I am looking at) has got it. Found a video where the guy actually got down to the nuts and bolts of it and was like "HOLY SHIT!!" Its basically just a div and pci-e cable but I didn't know you could run usb over pci-e. And with things like the new 27" thunderbolt LED display docking ur mac book pro is a singe. Since the screen has a mac safe power adapter so no need for an extra power supply for your laptop. yes the Thunderbolt display is FUCKING expensive but DAMN its sexy.
 
Yip my iMac had 2 thunderbolt ports. All great if you can get devices that use thunderbolt. Still awhile before you find devices using the tech.

Yeah but the devices are popping up, you got the display, Promise Pegasus and Blackmagic UltraStdio 3D. With Thunderbolts high data transfer speeds I can see why it is mostly external storage devices and graphical peripherals. Also the ability to daisy chain devices is a huge bonus.
