Wait till you get your pro. I dont think they actually make them for the old white ones.

@Murph: If I get that pre-order fuck up £ back today I can get Mortal Kombat, then we can do a proper duel.

Cool. Then I'll pretend that picture you posted earlier isn't broken.

Nope new Pro's went on sale pretty much as soon as they where announced. I would be careful thought, retailers love to say New Macbook Pro and then it turns out to be the Early 2011 model or something. Check the specs on Apple.com and then make sure the Specs shown in store match word for word. I almost got a 2010 model because of something similar. Which is why I opted to buy it online from a reputable supplier; Amazon.

Check HERE, Shows instock.

Do you want the Retina display one?

I would prefer the retina display yeah, but probably going to cost a kidney or 2.

So it's pick on a handicap day today?

Nice! :(

Hey Wenz, how did the interview go?

Broke my leg and torn ligaments in a rugby match... :D

@ Omega that case is awesome.

/considers getting a new MBP

Yeah it is, coz I can decorate my MBP without damaging it & if I get bored I can just take the cover off. Also it protects from Scratches and the like. I want to get a Keyboard protector also and a screen thingy.

Yeah but you know that next year the retina display will be standard for all MBPs. I think getting a regular 15" MBP should be fine for now, since it still has the optical drive. I have this feeling that by next year they will revamp the entire range to resemble the retina model.

Noob question alert!!!

What exactly is the difference between the normal and retina display?

Retina display prevents the screen from damaging your eyes while focusing for long periods. :)

Ahhh I see, correct me if I'm wrong.

Does it not glare as much as the normal screen as well?

Due to the fact that it does not have a panel in front of it or something?

Thanks Jimmy!

Regular Apple Display has a native resolution of 1440 X 900.
Retina Display has a native resolution of 2880x1800

That means looking at the screen you actually cant see the pixels.

What the fuck? Where did that come from?

Retina display is a brand name used by Apple for displays claimed to have pixel density so high that the eye would not be able to notice pixelation at a typical viewing distance. These displays were developed by LG Display.[citation needed] The term is used for several models of the iPod touch, iPhone, iPad, and MacBook Pro.[1]
Apple has applied to register the term "Retina" as a trademark, in regards to computers and mobile devices, in the United States, Canada, and at least one other country (Jamaica).[2][3]
