APpreciate the offer but my Bday is next month and i told SO i wants it !!!! :D :p

oh thanks guys now i want rusks and biltong !!

Fuck off, at least you can go down to ur local and get some. Not an option for me unless I want to watch my £££ disappear into the South African shops till.

Agreed my Grand Father, rest his soul, was a butcher made biltong, droewors, cabernosi to die for. When ever I have biltong, droewors or cabernosi I miss him.

Yeah that price is pretty crazy. The South African shop is awesome because it has alot of the stuff u cant get here, like fanta grape. Problem is because they are the only place u can get it they are FRARKING expensive. £13 for 300g of Biltong is fucking insanity. To give you an idea I can get 400g Medallion Steak from Tesco for £4.24.

Sounds good to me :D

Other that the odd moment when I want Biltong (Like right now) Not in the slightest, which is why TK has money jar for everytime I slag SA off or brag about how awesome it is here. Spooner calls me the most unpatriotic expat ever. If I could make a call now and get my Parents, 2 grand mothes, and brothers out of there I would never go back. For me SA was never "home" it was just the place I lived before I came home.

I have 20mb/s uncapped internet at home, the only reason its not the same as the 100mb line at work is the old building I live in. I barely watch tv since Netflix and Lovefilm are epic. I buy my groceries online and they carry it into my kitchen. I bought a R20K Macbook pro at the beginning of the year after saving for little over a month. I feel safe, I am not treated like a second class citizen, it hardly ever gets so hot that I want to kill my self. Public transport = win since I can get anywhere without needing a car. Generally my quality of life is heaps better than in SA. There I worked a murderous job as a Practice Manager where I got R7500 per month with no over time and a company that treated me like a slave. Here I get R4800 a week doing a job that is not only practically stress free but also for a company that treats me, a contract worker, like one of the team. My boss bought us tickets to the olympics for fucks sakes. My wife managed to do her Masters in Biotechnology, a degree she would never have been able to do in SA simply because living with just one of us working would have been impossible. I am doing a game design course.

In the end its not for everyone, and while it may often sound like I rag on people who choose to stay in the banana republic I feel that to each his own. I love it here and would never, willingly, go back.

FYI everyone else, that wasn't me bragging I was just bringing Sanity up to speed.

Its not for everyone thats for sure. My wife is European and I am only a 2nd generation South African, my grand father was German. So maybe its just in my blood I dont know. What me and my wife did was sit down and ask our selves "do we want to raise a family in SA" the answer was a resounding and over powering no. It might be a personal Bias because I see it with both my brothers struggling with getting work, especially the youngest one who finished Matric 2, almost 3, years ago and has pretty much had his life ruined because the school, a prestigious private school for kids with learning issues, has failed to teach him the basics. He struggles to read and write because the school had him do all his exams orally since the teacher "could read his hand writing" also because he struggled with reading they read the questions to him. While I know the issue isn't everywhere I saw the state of schools before I left and while its far from perfect here the fact is my children will have a better change here than in SA, firstly because here they wont be discriminated against due to the colour of their skin and secondly because 6 of the worlds top 10 universities are here. So with hard work I know my kids will have a future and not struggle like.

Enough SA slagging for one week.

Im happy here and somepeople are happy there. Too bad the rest of the country is a circus. :P

Yes true you have, which is why i created a Jar for Insanity :) theres a word for all this... sheldon uses it in big bang theory to train penny.... /searches net

Conditioning. And the reason I havent done it was because people stopped seeing it as a Joke and actually got upset about it. So I keep it to myself.

LOL..... True words man

Strange person who needs to still learn to post. We have no idea what the fuck you are talking about unless you quote the person you are replying to. Just posting a reply 3 pages later makes you look like a retard. OKIDAY?

Sweetheart my wife and Mother can't even control/condition (my wife has considerably more bargaining power over me than you lot) me so the change that the people I hangout with online can manage it are below minimal. ;)
