Wenzie, if you can convert your movies and series to mp4. Saves space - I only have 8 gigs on the phone and have 2 full seasons on the phone. Also use the earphones that came with the phone for the sound. I tested a few and the ones that came with the phone works best.

Also the reason to convert is to make sure that they can play on the phone. Some avi files especially movies dont want to play on my phone. But once they are mp4 they work fine.

The games that I gave you are small :P They are fun tho :P Remember the charger when you watch movies tho, I can watch about 8 hours of tvshows / movies before mine dies.

If either of you get gatvol of the original launcher get the go launcher and its widgets as well as lock for the phone. I changed mine and happy with it. And all of this you can do without rooting the phone. Plus if you really need to root the phone it is so easy.

Is it easy to root? Its so weird, I have gotten so used to jailbreaking and become somewhat of an expert on iPhone stuff, I now have to learn all this stuff for android :p

@Wenz Nope only that its been sent in and now we wait for them to swap it out.
I did phone them on monday and that's what they told me, haven't phoned again...will try again today, thins are a bit fucked at the moment, a close friend of mine passed away on friday so Im not exactly in the best mood.

yeah i got one its pink, was the best out of a bad bunch. doenst make the phone look bulky. the selection in Killarney mall was very limited for the S3

@wyvz. will definately convert everything. i saw on the android store lotsof ppl complainign about the go launcher especially when they d/l wallpapers... but will give it all a try.

my Wi-fi at work is set up now but im so far from the router the signal is just as crap as 3g....
 
Morning all, Busy morning is busy. Dealing with a virus pandemic thanks to the auditor general and our emails aren't going through due to our fscking upstream service provider being down. :rolleyes:

Yeah Fourways didn't have the hugest selection but managed to score a black one which is what I was after. Its weird that you have connection issues, I have noticed the wifi range on the S3 is pretty good. I can be downstairs outside and it manages to pick up 1 bar and works well.

i just think im to far from the nearest router. as soon as i move back to my old desk i have 3 bars. at my temporay desk at the otherside of the office i dont even get 1 bar. i think our wi-fi router is in IT's building which is about 20m away from our offices...

Lol wenzie :P Wenzie I have the same problem at home and the router is closer to me, but then again I have forgotten the router password for the router near my room. Once I have that I will have a better connection at home. But at work I have a strong signal and no issues with downloads.

grims : http://forum.xda-developers.com/ have a look on those forums, all the andriod rooting is happening on there.

The samsung is easier than the htc to root. HTC was such a drama. I just havent rooted mine yet since I havent found the right ui that I want to use.

i just wish they would finish with the renovations at the office so i can move to my old desk... what was supposed to be a 4 day job has now turn into a 6 week mess... all because of a BEE contractor
