Grim tell them you want to listen to the call that you made where you asked them to move your line. they should have it on record.

Good call, I will ask for that. Also if I signed a contract, SHOW ME the contract where I signed. I signed effff all. I didn't even sign anything off when the guy was at my house connecting the telephone.

Well where is the big print? I didn't sign anything.

No. Nothing. Nada. Zip. I simply asked them to please transfer my line to the new house.

Lol. Dude that is shit. Reminds me of the hassle (no pun intended) I had with MTN when I left SA. Since some idiot misplaced paperwork and didn't process my cancellation.

There are provisions now a days to sign a contract verbally over the phone.

Have the call pulled cause they might have sneaked that into the call.

Well if it's not in writing and you signing for it stating that it's a 24 month contract then their argument is deemed to be flawed.

And what Wenz said, they have to have informed you that you are signing on to a 24 month contract. Wenz it's supposed to be acknowledged by the client though in writing though isn't it?? Or is it legal to have someone acknowledge agreements over the phone these days?

Is so good to have someone with some law know-how on the forum.

If I ever come up for Murder will you represent me?

lol, MTN are worse than telkom, had huge issues with them.

Yeah I will ask to hear the call. If they sneaked that in I am going to loose it.

I would think that you have to sign something. Surely verbal can't be used?

Nope, you can do everything verbally over the phone. because they confirm your identity at the begining of the call and then they also advise you that you have agreed to blah blah and blah and then they ask you again do you confirm and then you would say yes.

i dint even have to go in to a dealer to sign a contract for my car. i did everything electronically. i also renewed my cellphone contract over the phone... its the digital age

lol i would rather hire someone who specialises in tha law. i dont intend on specialising in criminal law. i enjoy criminal law but i dont hink i would like to practice it.

you can verbally agree to a contract over the phone Grim. as it is telkom i do however think they made a mistake and the person in the call centre is ill equiped to deal with your issue.

Me 2!!!!

lol ok for you i will try my best lol, though my best might still me you will have to go to jail for atleast 25 years.

Just remember the following if you ever do want to commit murder. the following 3 things have to be present or have to be proven beyond reasonable doubt for you to be guilty of murder:

1. the act must be unlawful
2. you must have intended to kill (this is the hardest to prove in court)
3. and it must have been a person you killed(ie you cannot be found guilty for murder of killing an animal)
