I beleive that the long awaited update to The GIMP is due out later this year.

Pity they don't have the same size development team as the one that works on Blender.


I see that Photo Pos Pro has just gone freeware.

Still, it is free. How many people can afford Maya, SoftImage XSI, Lightwave or 3D Studio MAX?

Cinema 4D carries a hefty price tag too-especially if you want its full functionality.

Have you ever played with a demo of Zbrush or Vue dEsprit? Their is a free version of Vue
called Pioneer, I think.

I have the complete boxed version of Cinema 4D, with manuals and everything. Just sitting here. Unused.

I don't even remember why I have it.
