Just going to feel a bit lost now for a while at 20:30 every night :( Had fun last night. Went to Bossa Nova and watched the game there..good times.

I gather u are having problems with ur new assistant? U should fire them and get a competant one :p

uhm seems like i dont either.... but srsly.... how many times do i need to show her how to type a goddamn fax? everytime she types one she messes it up differently and all she needs to do is change what i showed her to change, but NOOOOOOO she deltes everything.... i feel like curling up into a little ball in the corner underneath my desk and just crying....

Good to hear! We went to a fan park last night, and damn was it freezing cold. we left at halftime to go home and to watch the rest of the game at home near a heater and underneath a blanket!!

oh the firing part is coming, this friday in fact. serves the bosses right for trying to be cheapskates and getting someone with no work experience!

Do you know where to find word and excell on a pc? Can you type? lol and then are you willing to work for R5k cost to company?

Hahahaha, Ok the salary mite be the only issue :P Altho im not getting much more at the moment at least I can live at home to save on costs :P

But ja, PC litterate, I even have MSCE degrees for some arb reason :P Altho I have to admit Excel and myself have a love hate relationship. Its actually hard to find good PA jobs lately. Ive been looking for about a year now. With most places telling me im over qualified. . . .

ja if you dont have a lot of experience companies dont generally want to pay much more than that. you should try leaving irrelevant qualifications out of your CV then when applying for a job that does not require that qualification. But the only requisite we had for this job was that the person who starts is pc literate, the rest we wil teach but hell this girl didnt even know where to find word on the pc and she did a beginners word course.... which really makes you wonder....
 
Yea its scary what people put in their cv's and pretend they can do. My Cv has been trimmed and edited to hell and back by a company in the UK when I was working there. I actually got some great jobs from them so I kept the CV as is and just added my current position as well.

Its just my luck that for some reason in the cape at the moment they want idiots to do PA work. Im acutally now an Office Manager more than PA but I still do the PA stuff as well.

Currently we are actually looking for an Architect Technologist to fill in a post that just became vacant. So I have the fun of contacting various agencies. But so far no luck. But for myself its just a nightmare to find a PA position where I dont have to do financial work as well :P (I hate it but will do it as long as its not on Pastel)

I find a lot better in Japanese as well. Even some games I prefer in Japanese as long as they've got the feature.
