You _HAVE_ to climb Lionshead at night. It's one of those must-do things in CT. My record so far is 45mins to the top and 25mins back down. I'd rate it more awesome than going up Table Mountain. Also climbing the chain route is quite exhilarating (considering how many people have died or broken their backs falling there)

via Cable car is over-touristy and climbing it is 2hrs of not-alot-of-fun. Ask me, I've been there. Stayed until dark and then had to climb down without flashlights. Big mistake.

Like i said...BIG difference between visiting some place and actually living there. Having said that. I could live in Dresden / Vienna / Copenhagen any day.

Hmmm... would Lionshead be safe for a female during the evening though? If so, then I will definitely do it then. Was planning on climbing up Table Mountain but taking the Cable Car down as I hear the trip down is balls compared to going up.

Voicy, thats like me, Id live in London, but not the main zones, Id head back to the areas I stayed in towards the end, or maybe south.

But then again the year I spent in the Lake District, in this tiny village (took 20mins to walk through the village end to end) with one robot! Id love to live up there again, lovely summers, snowy winters.

London is incredible. I have family who stay an hour away from London in a very small town and it seems almost perfect because while they are right near it and can get to it very easily thanks to the trains, they don't have to deal with the reality of living there.

Oh and Tablemountain is boring, rather head to the Two Oceans nature reserve near Silvermine, its worth the R50 to get in. Lots of hiking to do, plus the best views ever!

And home time! Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaai

If you're in a group of 2+ you'll be fine. If you go on a full moon you'll have more hippies up there than you can shake a stick at and quite literally have to wait in queues to get up certain sections...and yeah, climbing down isn't so much fun, but still worth doing to say you didn't cheat.

I have climed Windmills hole +- 30M crag that was fun !

Windmills lvl 10 is 21 meters - the actual rock climbing next to it is quite hectic and looks impressive. I can well imagine it to be around 30m.

This is lvl10 and us throwing the jew down the well (So our country can be free)

I haven't jumped 10 yet, only 8 (16m).

My only claim to fame is diving off 7 (13m)

Yeah i was reffering to the actual rock climbing on the side there i have done two different crags there was awesome fun i have also been rock jumping but i will be honest only like 4 or 5 never went too high :p

Um.... I'm thinking more along the lines of hiking... Steep walks at most with a little bit of tame rock climbing... <_<

Yeah lionshead is perfect for that. Plus you get a 360 view from the top. I'll try find some time delay pics we took at night from the top...really amazing. Plus it's less than an hour to get to the top and you spiral up it all the way so you always have amazing views - not just rocks. (unless there are lots of afrikaners in your group. :p )

@Voicy... I want to do that! Would love to go to Tsitsikama and do the highest bungi jump as well. I love this country some times :)

Anyway, gotta go to the work thing. Goodbye mans and ladies.
