As in plural?

I would think there was a market to publishing novels as there is alot of SA writers that sturggle to get their stuff published internationally.

Yip, she is a partner in 2 separate companies, the one writes and publishes books, the other sells them.

I think it is like anything in Africa, its always a bitch to do. Same with the music industry, its close to impossible to get signed or managed.

Yep, unless you are a crappy afr singer, then you will have a new album out ever second week.

Yip, it is the biggest selling music genre in SA.

All I need to do now is brush up on my Afr and maybe I can hit it big :p

Bwhahahahahahaha!!!!

Sounds like you have given it some thought. :p

There market for that here?

Like movies/tv shows/games?

Movies, TV shows, adverts, radio spots, theatre - yes. No games though - which ironically is the "easiest" to get into particularly with the amount on indie games that are made. Those guys (mostly) go onto bigger and better things. A lot of film/tv composers don't live in the industry county. They do their work and either link up via the net or fly up during recordings.

Why not gaming?

I am useless at making music and cant draw for shit but with words I can craft epic adventures and drama that will bring a tear to the eye.

I meant there is no immediate industry for gaming here. We have movies/TV/advertising but very little game development.
