Thats what stopped me getting one. Second or even 3rd gen tablets will be the have to have items. For now its just an awesome gadget.

Don't think I would ever have my entire home automated. The chances of shit going ape is far too high. I prefer all the mechanical/electrical issues to be under my direct control. Seems a bit lazy too.

No. Why would I want to switch on my lights and unlock my doors when I'm not there? I don't trust the system. It's like I'll turn off my oven from Paris and come home and see and error message while my house is slowly burning to the ground. Not for me thanks

Picture this: Im on holiday back in SA over christmas. Instead of having to ask a person which i probably wont trust anywhere near my shit to look after the place. I can switch lights on and off, open curtains, get live video stream from he security cams from the comfort of my tablet.
A system with triple redundancies is more than safe enough.
Then again i guess its not for everyone. But it is for me.

Nah dude, I don't think I'd be able to trust it. Still don't see the point of opening your curtains for the sake of opening your curtains. But I get why some people would be in to it
I do however see the point and advantage of a live video feed for security reasons.
