I played about 3 hours yesterday of ME, getting into it slowly. Level 8 now I think. Otherwise been jamming MW2 on Xbox MP. It is interesting.

Yeah jeez huh. Guess they have to keep making it easier and easier to pass so that the "special" people dont feel like such complete idiots.

When i started my new character, the adept i abandoned, i was at lvl 8 before i got off the citadel. But that was on insane. Got like 400xp for killing a dude.
I dunno why this entralls me so. Guess its excitement for no 2 but damn. Im going to try and get the romance blooming with old Ash williams. Just a hint, stick one the same 2 characters through out your play through, i know its tempting to swap but there are achievements for completing the game with each of the companions. I got the Tali one now going for the Wrex and Garrus one.

Yeah man its like 35% to pass or something retarded? How can you not pass? It makes me fucking mad! I did my A and O levels and I needed something crazy like 60%. Anyway. Kids today are lazzy. Give your bro a high five from me for passing!! :D

Didn't know that, I have Tali and Wrex as well, I will stick with them then.

You don't often unlock achievements, I only have 3 done so far.
 
I like mass effect. Finished it. But I wish the combat was better the only thing that I did not like that and the side planets were a disappointment. It had a good story and good rpg elements and I loved the sci-fi setting.

I bought it on PC last year and ya never really enjoyed it, got it on Xbox and enjoying it more. Its just one of those console games I feel.

The story and cut scenes are great. They must have put a lot of work into it. If they do the same with 2 which I am sure they will, it will be awesome.

Tali and Wrex are good. Tali for Electronics and Wrex for being well Wrex.

Get all the codex entries unlocks achievements, completing major quest evens gets achievements, being rengegade or paragon give achievements. Their are dotted about, its not one of those game that give you an achievement for figuring out you gun can kill people. That being said you get an achievement for 120 kills with each weapon, using certain abilities 75times and such. Im only a few shy of the set, at least another 2 play throughs though. Are you being a bad ass or a goody two shoes? My Vanguard is a goody goody but my soldier chick is a bad ass bitch. You know about the weapons mods and stuff right? I know some people only figure it out like 5 to 10 hours in.

Yeah, you can upgrade your weapons etc etc and move your mods over to a new weapon if you decide to change. Also armor upgrades etc. That what you mean?

The combat is being completely overhauled, think GOW2. Also the planetary exploration is being completely redone to make it feel more unique.

Yeah i also can't imagine playing it on PC.

The cut scenes and conversations now look more cinematic, no more blank states. So its safe to say the put some extra work in for 2. Its going to be epic.

Well all I can say is that for a older game it really is impressive. They went all out with the dialog etc. As you mentioned in another post, its nice that your char actually talks, nothing more annoying when you are silent, like in DA. So dumb. :rolleyes:

Yeah for a 2007 game its surprisingly awesome still. Not many games from back then that still keep my attention like this one does. Many would disagree with me but i actually feel Mass Effect is superior to Dragon Age. Just the sheer scope of it. Dragon Age was awesome but Mass Effect just appeals to the Star Wars and Star Trek fanboi in me.

I tend to agree with you on that, DA lacks what ME really mastered.

Having no character voice over for me is just lame, plain and simple. I feel so disconnected from my character, she is a mute. Where as in ME, I am Grim Shepard and everyone will hear what I have to say!! :D
