How do I say this...I don't think I have the vocabulary to do it justice: I watched CATS in Cape Town on Saturday night and it went beyond anything I have experienced before. It was magical, spectacular, beautiful. It is a memory I shall carry with me for the rest of my life.

I had one of the Cats running down the aisles stop to stare at me and start singing. I was agog and looked back at her with open mouth. Later, another touched me with her paws.

Having being exposed to this, it may be a long time before I have any interest in anything so tawdry as much as is on show at my local cinema.

So sad that we live in East London where anything vaguely cultural is rare.

I would so love to live in Cape Town:There is so much more to do there. I have found that
the people I encountered were also a good deal more courteous and helpful than those
I meet outside of work in East London.

I thought that going to the Artscape Theatre would be wasted on a philistine such as my self,
but I was wrong. It has affected me deeply. Although I felt moved during the production, the full
impact of the musical only hit me on the following evening.

Another thing: After flying 1Time, I am in no hurry to use SAA again.

Years ago I saw cats and really enjoyed it. I had a art teacher who was involved with the performance at my old high school st davids.
 
It was a world class performance.

I bought myself TS Elliot's "The Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats" and a "Cats" double CD from Canal Walk the following day.
 
Syco, as someone who is not used to such a specatle [I spent much of the performance looking very much the country bumpkin, with mouth hanging open in awe]

The lighting was superb.

I was riveted all the way through. Perhaps it is because we do not get to enjoy theatre in East London [they use the pokey old Guild Theatre for fashion shows, bodybuilding competitions and school plays]

Tjose of you who live in cities are lucky that you have all you do.
Home feels like a boorish backwater right now.

looooooool ok yeh i see what ur saying and I guess where we are we are quite lucky coz we got places like Monte Casino and all that :)

I have also seen some Ice show and The wizard of oz. I am so lucky to have seen a few theatre(and no they were not some crap but a list stuff)thanks to my grandparents.
 
Hey guys, glad to be back here. I have been working hard and then went on a holiday. But glad to be back in the normal swing of things and back on mygaming :D
