Some might Argue that KOTOR is the best space opera game, and for its time it was, but ME is a totally new universe, though up by Bioware and lovingly created. It is one of the best new IP to surface in a long long while. 2 is going to blow our minds.

lol. look kotor is great for what it does for bringing something to life from pre-starwars as most people know it. i've collected some material on the old jedi tales which was great and to play kotor made it awesome ;)

ME however i would say is an example of a decent and original non all ready existing IPs out there. i'ts a great cinematic play which makes it an awesome space opera adventure.

as to kotor VS ME i would have to settle with ME because kotor as i said is good for you play something that is around tales of the jedi which i do like a lot more than "standard starwars" which effectively has been castrated by it's own creator sadly.

on that note; a flick or tv series done decently about tales of jedi or golden age of the sith would be a clear win imho. we could only hope that star wars tv series coming out might be a lot better than what we have gotten so far.

Being a Starwars Fanboy myself im in total agree ment with you. KOTOR and KOTOR 2 where brilliant at bringing Pre-Episode 1 Star Wars to the masses. I sadly havent gotten arround to exploring that time frame better.
Star Wars Ep 1 - 3 did what it was suppose to, it completed the sage. But it will never be on the same level as the original 3 movies. A movie or Tv serries set in the Old Republic would be awesome if done right.

What i love is the depth of the Mass Effect Universe and the almost "real" quality it has. I mean i can see it happening, kinda like BattleStar Galactica. Ill never trade in my lightsaber but neither will i give up my omni tool.
