In what way did it borrow from The Lord of the Rings and Robert Jordan's opus?
Having a fairly limited range of opponents?
That's like criticising something like Call of Duty for having human opponents/human opponents inside machines.

I loved doa but the blight was much like wheel of time and they really looked like orcs from lord of the rings. I just got bored fighting the same enemies:(

Let me get this straight. You use a laser or incredibly fine drill to hollow out paperclips before filling them with soya source?

No, you open the paperclips lid and you pour in the soya sause through the built-in funnel that pops out, close it, and shake well.

Don't most rpgs in a fantasy setting have some opponents who resemble orcs to a greater or lesser degree?

I think I understand what you mean though:you would have liked to have seen more of the beasties that roam the surface
[and underground] of the world in which Dragon Age is set, wouldn't you?

I'd have to agree that the cut scene which shows a close-up shot of the darkspawn at Ostagar reminded me of the prologue in the
Fellowship of the ring - except that in DA, the archers don;t seem to have been nearly as effective.

You guys making me lus to watch Lord of the Ring again haha.

Still want to play DAO again but I don't know something is lacking. Maybe its the creeps who knows if, I would love to see some of the BG2 monsters in the sewers of DAO or something.

Metro isn't out yet dude, got delayed to the 26th.
Bleh:mad:

I don't mind if they resemble other fantasies but they can design all sorts of nasty baddies to kill. I loved pool of radiance runes of mythdranor . The further you got the stranger and more powerful creatures you faced. I never finished as it got so hard(was my first rpg so I was not that good yet) But it was great exploring a dead dwarven city

That was a hard core rpg bioware had nothing on that game:D I liked the one quest to get a new party member was to solve a riddle to free him from a rock. He had been there for 200 years:) There were allot of riddles and strange creatures you could chat to.

<sigh>

I missed out on Planetscape:Torment as well.
This was before I had a job.

Would that they rereleased some of these classics.

I would love to see a hd remake of pool of radiance. I missed out on Planescape:torment as well. Did you ever play revenant? That was a fun game. It was more a hack in slash but not like diablo. It had a sad story though and the music was so lovely I always had a tear in my eye each time the story progressed:(

Sadly I missed out on Revenant as well, though I did enjoy the demo. :(

Note to publishers: Please rerelease some of your old titles at rock-bottom prices so that I may make up for lost time.
