I actually wrote a research paper on WoW ... never played it, but I did sit through a few raids with my bf. I could never be a raid leader though, I would get annoyed if my guild sucks

If I had to raid lead a random guild, by the end I probably would have kicked them and gotten further solo'ing the place

Seriously ^^ .... the topic was virtual worlds... I chose online gaming. I looked at themes we covered through out the course (concept of community, gender, race - that kind of thing) It was my final research essay for my undergrad degree ^^

Hehe it wasn't a random question! It's perfectly legit! I compared two online games (WoW and Second Life) even the differences between the people playing those games are interesting!

The best thing about the research was probably the interviews I did. The one guy actually had to leave halfway through the interview to raid! Hehe, was awesome content for my essay!
