Dude... I killed Stygian last night... first try. Ride Ruin while holding Left Trigger, use mercy to shoot it. When it slows down ride next to it and use ur sword to bash off that metal face guard. Then ride and just fire with the gun.
As for Demon Soul... its suppose to be difficult.
