no worries...me is lurking too! Long day is long, but me has to do a bit of work coz I've not done much thus far.
 
I've done close to nothing all day... done the copy for about 3 ads and that's it. And the air con is dead here so I'm trying to move as little as possible..... :o Stupid durban summer, aching for winter!!!!!

I think I wear a jacket for like 1 week a year in durbs... went to CT 2 weeks ago and FROZE at night... I miss your cold weather!

I'm so prvt on these forums :o

But it's a fairly new one and I'm actually keen to get out hey. The work I'm doing is awesome but the person I'm working for not so much. Huge egos and illegal work practices but yeah, I'm getting through it. Hopefully out by this month

lol OK. Have a buddy that works at one of the big agencies and everything you describe is exactly as he puts it - huge egos etc etc

Yeah quite a few agencies are a law unto themselves. I've definitely heard some horror stories about the bigger agencies... It took me a while to harden up. On my first day here one of the top guys said I need to make him coffee whenever he clicks his fingers and I laughed him off and said it wasn't going to happen thinking that he was joking. Next thing I notice, everyone except for me is jumping to his constant coffee requests. Thank goodness I asserted myself on the first day and he has yet to ask me again.

My boss refuses to give me a contract and when I ask for it he says he'll organise one and then just avoids me for days on end. I sent a huge letter outlining about this specific issue yesterday morning and he has yet to get back to me. It's unacceptable :/

Haha main ous that can't make coffee :p The issue with your boss is BS, guys normally do that to avoid labour issues in the event of dismissal/retrenchment. You should get that sorted asap

Thank goodness I'm on the ball... I know an Industrial Psychologist and got her advice and now I'll take legal action if it isn't resolved.

Phoned CCMA, I have a case. He's now avoiding even telling me what salary he'll pay me, I asked the secretary regarding payday and she said she's paid anywhere from the 25th to the 3rd- how can he expect people with financial responsibilities to cope like that? I've been here 3 weeks and I'm waiting to get paid then I'm out- I refuse to work for people like this, they can take advantage of someone else. I've got that email I sent yesterday as proof as well as my ad mentioning my salary expectations. I'm sorting this out, but he's is the slimiest guy, can't believe I didn't see through him in the beginning...

Anyway... sjoe I'm surprisied all that came out now but I guess it's rather telling as to how stressed out I am at the moment...
