uhm im still not 100% sure what the exact problem was but we d/l this manual from piratebay which was recommended by ppl on the xbox360 forum and i just proceeded to take the xbox apart and put in some new thermal paste and re-attached the heatsink thingies with different screws (which was a biatch to find by the way because of the small sizes). Because apparantly the x-clamps that were used to keep the heatsink thingies in place were of inferior quality.(BTW im not sure if this is the correct term for those aluminium things that go over the CPU and GPU)

Jeez well done Wenz. Sounds like you did an epic job. You should start fixing RROD xbox's in your spare time :p

lol, uhm i think not. its such a bloody mission getting the friggin case open....

the thing that baffles me though is that my flipping laptop has more parts than the Xbox... and the GPU is smaller than a R5 coin en the CPu is about the size of a R5 coin....i wish pc were as easy to fix as the xbox was!

GPU smaller than a R5 coin :eek:

Thats crazy, makes you wonder why PC Gpu's are so dam big.
 
Oh geez... A New Zealand camera crew just had all their equipment stolen...

It's so frustrating how the journalists keep getting targeted!! Journalists from China got held up at gunpoint last week and the Portuguese crew also got hit
