Hiya Murph and Powderbucket :)


OMG I just lost it with the old man in the office who has been causing kak the past week. He UNINSTALLED Zyxel . . . thru which our networks at the office runs. He comes to me and tells me he cant get on the internet and also unable to access the local network to save his work on the server.

So I go to look whats up, sometimes the pc just needs a reboot.

I have a look and notice no access at all to the network, look a bit closer and notice that zyxel is missing. I ask him why is it missing when it was there yesterday. He tells me he uninstalled it cos it made his pc slower. . . .

I have never seen zyxel affect any of the pcs in that way so I ask why does he think it made the pc slower. He tells me cos it was always running in the back ground and he had no idea what it does so he removed it.

I almost slapped him. Reinstalled the prog, set up his pc again so he can access the network. And now he asked me but cant he close the programme? So I told yea fine close it, but dont bitch at me if you cant access the network. . . .

I just walked away....

This is not a good way to start this morning.

Dont tempt me, hes seriously pushing the last buttons I have left. Been bitchin and moaning about the fact that he has to phone the office from the gate box to get in. Since out only spare remote for the complex gates is broken. . .

But he finds something to moan about EVERY single day. and 9 out 10 times its something he broke.

Im just the Office Manager/PA/Receptionist. Not the IT girl :P Next time I phone the IT guys so that they can come fix it and give him hell. . .

The Eels is also a personal Fav of mine.. . Most ppl havent even heard of them :P And then currently I am a HUGE Three days grace and Our lady peace fan. Thank goodness I have at least music at the office :P

The whole of Rhodes University is down because of this... not that I really understand what's going on, do I have reason to be happy about being a Telkom customer now? My internet is still working perfectly in all ways.....
