How would you go about ensuring that this way of life is maintained? Lets say one or two of your inhabitants go a little off course once accepted?

If they signed the T&C then well... they will be shot or alternatively, depending on the situation, sterilized.
Should a inhabitant develope some sort of desease they will be removed from the society if it proves uncureable. Since the entire place is about the survival of the society it will be each inhabitants duty to help ensure it is preserved for the furture generation.

Ok, and how much surveillance and monitoring would that need? They are people so you may just find sympathizers within the colony. A father would probably not give up his sick son for example.

See thats where it comes down to people choosing to live there. You are free to leave anytime however should you choose to stay you will conform to our way of life. See if the son is born with some life ailing disease that will reduce him to being bedridden, conected to machines the rest of his life it will not be illigal or even inhumane to give him a mercy death. Similarly if a genetic anomaly pop in he is welcome to continue livng in the colony but would sterilized to keep it out of the gene pool.

Also there will be none of this "Right2Live" BS. you will earn your right to live, to have children to exist. If you do not you will be removed from the society.

This is also why it is key to have people put the good of the many before the needs of the few.

Can I get on in this action bringing greenhouse pc and cat. o yeah and my collection of popular mechanics mags.

Omegatopia is Paperfree. Since we have to manage our waste as we do live in the middle of the ocean and all that. So its all green. Was thinking refitting the reactors of a few Soviet Nuclear subs and some windfarms to get power to the place.

Oh and Omegatopia is also a drug free zone. No weed, no shrooms, LSD, ACID or any other narcotic substance.

/Watches Omegatopia population drop to just me.

Alcahol is allowed, obviously.

Oh ok, was just seeing how 1984 you were going to go :p

I would agree there. No beer = no dice :D

refitting with?

Rather than windfarms looking all ugly we can get the new polymer glass that generates energy from 2 sides not just like sunpanels.
Also we should have an alge farm in the basement to supply us with hydrogen. Then the other thing is we can get gas and fertilizer from human waste so we can use that for cooking/heat and in the garden for the fertilizer.

Not a bad idea.
/Hads Waco temp Omegatopia passport.

The reactors would post a bit of a problem. where would we get uranium?

I like the idea's of windfarms and solar panaled roofs/windows/walls.

In the high seas wind farms would be a massive advantage as those winds can get up past the 100km/h speeds.

Wind farm on the ocean is just trouble since you got massive lighting and salt corrosion its just not worth it out on the ocean. But on the other hand if you have 2 turbines it should not be such a big hassle.
Okay if lets say we have 300 homes on this isle of us then 2 turbines should enough to power us. Best part is we can then use the excess wind at night to boil seawater and so we get clean water salt and steam to power another turbine that is generating elect to go to batteries.

Just can't find the max speed a wind farm can handle.
