but true to form, Home Affairs has STILL not provided me and my brother with unabridged birth certificates.

Hey bro, I don't use pastel, but we have our own accounting package which is similar to pastel, works the same except ours is geared for the property industry.

As for difficulty, once you know how to capture invoices, capture receipts etc its really not that hard. You need some basic accounting skills, but really its not rocket science. Our system however can get so fucking complicated I want to vomit sometimes

Some of our clients however are so retarded. They buy our system but then still insist on running pastel. Idiots. People make their lives so dam difficult.
