Bwahahahaha Omega, that sounds like me!

At one of my previous jobs, just to make life difficult for the boss cos she drove me nuts, when I left I filed the petty cash under P (it took her a month to find it!)

Haha sounds like you and I went to the same Filing College.

Dude me and paperwork dont get along well. Files on my pc are pristine, all in their own folder, or sub-folder in a named, tagged and labeled directory but paper.... gawd.

Same. I stick it everywhere. Quite bad of me since I have banned baskets on desks and bought desks without drawers so that the staff can't horde paper anywhere :p

My filling system, if its all in one place, the document you're searching for must be there (somewhere).

Bhwahahahaha Murph! I have my in tray (always piled high with paper) but once a month I just tackle it and file it all. But the important stuff gets filed the same day - especially current projects. Invoices and so forth can lounge for a while :P

I'll take a picture of my desk in its current state tomorrow and post it....

Well my plan hasn't really worked, one guy sticks it in his suitcase so it looks like it's done.

Lol Murph, hes clever tho :P

I just try to keep my desk as tidy as possible. Doesnt always work tho. But its not as bad as some desks I have seen whilst working in the uk.

A tidy desk gives the impression that you dont have enough work so you have free time to tidy up ur desk, which is why mine is always a mess. Organised Chaos

Omega, we have a clean desk policy because we sometimes work on projects that are a bit sensitive, so no plans or files about projects are to be seen, especially when we have reps coming to see us.

/Takes some donuts from the table.

My desk is always clean, just jack-in-the-box type drawers. The best thing to do is open books on your desk, or sit there frowning like you're thinking really hard, automate emails to send after work hours and always leave a jacket over your chair so they think you're somewhere in the building - even if you're slacking off somewhere.

Also, make sure you're screen is locked so they don't see your confessions on mygaming, or put a gay porn background on your PC :D
