Le woot! Got a repair quote for my car - R4k! Of which I have to pay in R1k - I can live with that.

Wow, that's great news. Shopping around sure does have a lot of benefits. I'm sure you mentioned that one of the quotes was something like 8k? Now you can spend the rest of your money that you bargained on paying in for the car on games so that it feels like it is a bargain. "whistling:

Theavenged - it will go towards upgrading my one fishtanks lights from 8W to 24W. Still need to figure out what to do with the new ballasts since I suspect it will be to hot to put in the lid.

The rest will go towards getting my new 2tb hdd.

Ogz - yea its bloody hot! I actually went home at lunch to swop my boots for sandals.

Now I need to find a pool repair person. So that we can fix the pool at home.

we cant wear sandals here at the office :| tho we do have aircon, but stepping out of the office feels like going from one extreme to another

PS u need a pool boy i hear! dont be naughty now :D

Bwhahaha a pool boy wont be able to fix the pool! Currently its leaking water but we cant find the leak :S And I refuse to fill the pool up till its been fixed.

Luckily we are casual at the office - I can wear boardshorts to the office if I want to :P

But then again we have no aircon.

we wear semi casual

jeans and shirt

infact you CAN wear sandals if you want

but i prefer the aircon over full casual

Damn leaky pools! Mine leaks too. And the pine trees dropping needles and clogging everything up have broken the pump, so I've got tree fellers coming out next week to cut them down

Ogs - Im lucky enough that we hardly see clients at our office (especially in summer) so when I know clients are coming in on certain days I tend to "dress up" in a skirt or something so it looks professional. But otherwise Im in casual wear :P

same here except offsite, never a tie or anything, just a smart buttoned golf shirt, still jeans allowed :D
and considering our client is Metropolitan which is pretty huge, i think that's cool
oh and FYI Metropolitan and Momentum are actually busy with a company merge atm...yes i just spilled the beans on that :D

Hmmm, I'm also working on a merge for clients. I don't think I'm allowed to spill any beans though

Hahahaha Ogz I promise I wont tell :P

hmm biggest deal we have currently is teh rebuilding of the Wilcocks building in stellies that burnt down last year :P Oh and another stupid gov project.

But they have been busy with that for months? I remember reading about that last year already in the newspaper.

correct but its a MASSIVE undertaking, the systems, everything now need to be one

So imagine taking two huge networks largely a WAN and putting them together, intranet's, alles! tho we as a compnay have nothing to do with that merger, its our apps etc the reside on their servers that will need our attention, biggest thing, changing ALL ip's of ALL servers for the merge, they have now kinda enforced the use of a DNS which WILL be slower though....once its implemented i can see my ear stuck to the phone for client support

Hahaha, have fun Buzz.

We're not working on a merger. There I spilt the beans. :D

I like to describe our office environment as sick. Too hot no aircon and opening the windows doesn't help.
