Jislaaik I wish I could slap someone over the phone.

A discovery callcentre guy phones, tries to give me the crap about their new professional options and I politely tell him we are not interested (I know this since we all have our own medical aids and had discussed this recently in the office). He keeps trying to speak to someone else and I finally tell him, sorry but no thank you and goodbye and put the phone down.

Not a minute later he phones back yelling at me because I put the phone down in his ear. So I stay polite and thank him for wasting more of my time and put the phone down again in his ear - the other staff members are betting he phones back in the next 30mins.

Ugh...Telemarketers. It is one thing when they phone you and when you decline whatever they are offering, they leave you alone. But I had this one oke pestering me for 5 days straight before. Pretended that I was interested and that I didn't have much time, so asked him for a contact number...he gave me reception. So I phoned the number and asked for the oke who is in charge of their call center operations (they normally outsource these things, but there normally is one guy at the actual company who knows what is going on). Had a lekker chat with him and told him what was going on. Got myself removed from their database...haven't had a call in a year.

I just go quiet and let the guy talk away and leave the phone on mute :p
