Wenz, if you have been hinting enough that he's got the message, it may be time to stop. My friend recently FINALLY proposed to my sister, after at least 7 years, and I'm convinced that he held out that long only because everyone kept asking when he was going to do it and dropping hints the whole time. I think a lot of guys will especially not propose when they are under pressure to do so, because it should feel like it's your own decision, not because people are pressuring you to do it. Otherwise he might think you'll feel like he only proposed because you pushed him into it. Don't know if your BF's the same, but I think a lot of guys are like that.

Just a thought, I'll leave it with you. I may be wrong, and I don't know what your BF's like, but that's what I've noticed some people are like...

I have to agree with Matt.

I'm in the same situation, gf keeps on giving hints.

But I'll propose when I feel that I'm ready and that it's my decision...

Hell yes. My GF is now 23 years old...all her friends are getting married, so naturally, I get asked about it a lot. I actually am at the point of losing my temper when people ask me that. She is also hinting at it every opportunity that she gets. I want to get married to her SOMEDAY, but only when the time is right. At the moment, I am 24 and I don't feel that the time is right. If you moer straight into it because everyone thinks that it is a good idea (apart from that little oukie deep inside your brain), then it is destined to fail.

EDIT: Not tuning shit about people who get married at a young age. If you feel that it is the right thing, then by all means, go for it.

I think for a guy, popping the question is even more of a big step than going through with the wedding, that's when you actually put it all on the line and commit to getting married. It's definitely scarier to propose than to say I do, from my experience anyway. At the wedding, the scariest thing is making the speech

EDIT: Besides, once the wedding plans get going, as the groom, things are mostly out of your hands anyway. Proposing is something you have to do all by yourself

Yup, getting to that point is the most difficult thing, I reckon...
