The ultimate gaming rig

This is odd. Except for the i7 CPU and Motherboard which I can get for less than R12,000, this my PC, in fact, my PC has a few more things! I sure won't pay R83,000 for it!

Firstly, you do understand that Joker posted this 7 months ago right?

Secondly, where can you get a i7 Extreme 975 Processor and a GA-EX58-Extreme motherboard for less than R12k? :eek: I would love to find a place like that since even \Rectron's latest pricelist (2nd Nov 09) says that I'll pay R15k for it.

Thirdly, there is no thirdly ever.

Fourthly, as a testament to how much of a difference 7 months can make, this same rig would cost around R43k now...... at dealer prices mind you.

Me too. Even with our sponsorship deal, it would still cost me R14k for the CPU alone. For an MSI mobo (eclipse plus), with similar features to the gigabyte, around R4500.
 
It's rediculous how expensive that CPU is. When I finally go i7 I'll just get the 920 and OC the shit out of it. :cool:
