The Verge

I reckon it's getting bad now ........ lots of shows where the same game is covered over and over. It's not as if the games industry has stopped pushing out trailers.

But the verge has been the same all along hasn't it? All the shows that were on GO, were just carried across, and the verge was on GO and now it's on VUZU...

I wish they would use better videos.

The few times I have watched it looked like they had pulled them off YouTube, looked horrible on a 42" LCD.

Whats up with The Verge and Play R? They were like the same thing but with different names? Are they both still going?

Wouldn't they require rights or something to say pull videos off Gametrailers.com... those videos are always nice quality (even the SD 1s)

@Tinman - yeah I also can't wrap my head around still having two different names for the show. PlayR was first (one night a week), then along came The Verge (every night) but didn't merge them ... weirdos.

@Octoboi - Gametrailers only have a very few trailers that are their exclusives. The rest are released by the game publishers and everyone has access to them. I think in the Verges case, it's laziness, so they just grab where it's the least hassle to grab from.

True...but its better than what can be acquired from youtube

You can usually get them from a variety of sources. And as far as I know, Gametrailers do not own the content that they publish, the videos belong to the creators.

It would obviously be better to find the video without a GT logo on.

I actually think I have seen videos of The Verge with the GT logo on them. People upload the GT video to Youtube, and I think that's where the Verge gets them and that's why they are such poor quality.

We did it for a while but have stopped as the quality was so poo, even in a tiny box, never mind a TV

Well, good luck to the guy smart enough to spend a couple of minutes on a clip and win a R5000 prize. :D

Never seen the show itself, just the ads. Those effects on the voice... SO LAME. I wanted to tear my ears off. Sorry, that just put me off it.

The best gaming show apart from cybernet was ultimate gamer that used to air on the british Scifi Channel before the idiots at multichoice decided to can the channel a few years ago
