Yeah, I know. Had to turn it down to easy to beat that fight. Probably redid it 30 times before changing to easy. It's really quite frustrating.

They've been making games too easy these days :D

My problem with the difficulty isn't that it's too difficult to enjoy, it's that it seems inconsistent. One moment you'd be kicking ass amongst the monsters, next moment a new monster arrives and one-shots you.

Just got to the area after Flotsam and this is officially my favorite RPG since Dragon Age Origins. This puts DA2 to complete and utter shame.

Like that was difficult :p

I agree though, Witcher 2 is an amazingly beautiful game and, the more I play it the more it feels like the game CD Projekt wanted to make.

I feel it's been "consoleified" a bit around the edges though. At 1920x1200 (16:10) it uses letterbox (16:9) which feels like it was made with the intention to pop over to console. Also the simplified inventory, skill screen, simplified dialogue etc that stinks of Dragon Age 2.

But it's still an incredibly beautiful, detailed and deep game so far. Looking forward to seeing how the rest of it plays out!

WOW, pretty much sums up the game for me. So far played about 6 hours and I am really enjoying it. Combat is intense and the story is really well done. Definately prefer it to the first one

Had only one thought, and still with me at work:

"must get home and play witcher2"

More so than sex or stuck song :D

Got mine as well. This is the second retail CE I've gotten through Take 2, the Starcraft II CE being the other one and I haven't had problems with them. Both times my copy was delivered 9am release day, so I'm quite happy with them.

Now, my opinion after having played 20 hours +-:
I'm still quite early in the game as I'm not rushing, I'm taking my time exploring, browsing all the merchants wares and speaking to most if not all the people, really just immersing myself and getting the most I can out of my first play through. Even so, it feels like describing the game as "amazing" and "a mile ahead of the competition" would be selling it short.

The more time you spend with it, the more the game unfolds into one of the most beautifully crafted and fully realized games to date. Definitely a labor of love, flaws and all.

That deserves some Rep, could not have said it any better myself!
