The Witcher 2 Collector's Edition giveaway

Why would I want the Witcher 2 Collectors Edition! Why......... for the extra 'FANtabulous' goodies of course. ;) That; the fact that the Collectors Edition is out of my reach; and that I am a Witcher fan (actually all of us on this forum are).

Should I be fortunate to win the Collectors Edition :eek:, I will be so ecstatic that I will give my pre-ordered copy of the premium edition to my brother who is less fortunate.

The Witcher 1 is the reason why I want this collectors' edition of The Witcher 2. When Witcher 1 released back in 2007 it was done so without a hype machine pacing it's way, without the marketing capital of a small country's economy and with no preconceptions. CD Projekt set out to make a role playing game in the very essence of said genre. And they succeeded. The game was marred by crash to desktop bugs, memory leaks, clumsy inventory and an unfamiliar combat mechanic. Yet it had something that enabled it to supersede those flaws. It had a rich fantasy world, it had gravitas and by heaven it had a damn good story. A story that pulled you in and not just made you overlook the flaws it launched with, but forget about them. This is the mark of a true rpg. A feat that only one or two other so called 'AAA' titles from large publishers could do since Witcher 1's release. But the game had something else going for it besides a great lead character, a great world and good tale to tell - it had a passionate developer that rolled out no less than 5 extensive patches that fixed the bugs and glitches, that improved the inventory and gave us Djinn along with 2 free added adventures and access to player made content. Add to that they removed their own DRM and relaunched their title as the Enhanced Edition because they were not satisfied with the first roll of the dice.

Now here that same developer is with a sequel to such a game. A developer that not only listened to it's community and fixed what needed fixing, but expounded and improved it to deliver a great game. Not to mention that they are willing to let the title launch DRM free from Good Old Games. Surely they deserve the gaming community and every RPG gamer's support. So how can any gamer not be excited about this game - not to mention the premium, and in this case the collectors editions? I am such a gamer, a RPG player. I am damn excited about this title and regardless of this competitions' outcome I will get this game. I want this prize.

I've never bought or had a collector's edition of a game before so The Witcher 2's would always hold a special place in my heart. I love the atmosphere of the game (from what I've seen) and can't wait to explore the many realms which are bound to be contained within that simple-looking DVD-ROM. Good PC exclusives are rare, and The Witcher 2 is special in that it was designed exclusively for the PC platform. I hope it delivers on all the sparkle it appears to possess.
 
I would like a copy of Witcher 2 Collectors Edition because firstly, because the reviews have been very positive and it promises to be highly entertaining. Secondly, I love any collectors editions of games. All of the extras that you get with it make it are truly awesome and make it worth keeping in tip top condition! :D

Can one really comprehend the appreciation of such collectable items?
My answer would be “No”
Throughout my countless years of living in this mortal realm, I have always considered
nothing but the best when purchasing games, and I feel that this should be one of the games that I should own which is the collectors edition.

The 1st Witcher has been an excellent game with unique playing styles, I mean don’t just rely on my review on the game, have a look at the reviews on meta critic it speaks for itself
Below is what I thought in which was awesome in the 1st witcher:
-Various types of combat styles
-Different camera views, in which you can either play over the shoulder or over the head like Diablo 2

-Unique monsters which have been created that is revolved around the era of the witcher.
- For all the neverwinter nights and Diablo 2 fans, look no further as this game could be considered as a cross between neverwinter nights and Diablo 2
-Unique spells, compared to many Rpg games
-The ability to conjure alchemy is added into the game which again I haven’t seen in many games
-This game has a very unique levelling system
-Music is excellent
-This game creates a different feel to it, depending on which decisions you make, but you also get people who are racists as well, which will affect the difficult decisions you can make within the game.

Above sums it all up, on what I liked about the 1st witcher.

It all comes down to 1 question “Are you worthy of such honor of owning such a gift?”

alas my journey will come to a halt, until I obtain such greatness before Diablo 3 :)
 
not the biggest fan of the game, but owning that ce would be awesome, a bit of a ce nut myself i usually look out for awesome editions like these and get them, plus this game would be great to tide me over while i wait for Mass Effect 3 and Battlefield 3, plus i need a new rpg to play.
 
Why you should pick me for collectors edition is. I don't have a good reason. I just hope honesty counts for something. I just love gaming any good RPG, RTS or anything for that matter.
 
I've just bought a new video card for my PC and am itching to try it out! problem is, I have no money left to buy any games! FML... I've heard so many rave reviews about the game and I would love to get a copy for free!!

All I can say is, we all have to make do with what we have, and whoever wins this competition, and walks away with TW2 CE, will be a lucky lucky gamer.

CD Projekt! with a k, not c, get it right you! You write the biggest post conceivable, and get the dev's name wrong.

Along with Hellgate:London, I played TW the day it came out. I hated the loading times, and was still mesmerized by the game, I still watch the intro movie every single time. The witcher was one of the games for me that made being a student worthwile. I really want this collectors edition. I can even point out friends who i kept telling back in the day how the witcher is an awesome game. Then came the

ENHANCED EDITION. YESSS Improved textures, dialogue and more. For me, i have been looking forward to this since the release of the witcher. Let me have this, or I will cry. Let me win this(please please please). If im lucky winner, then i can import my savegame! Also, I cant afford it, im a broke student :(

I want the Collectors Edition edition because I can only afford to buy the standard edition, I have never played the witcher yet so having the CE would make it sooo much orsome.
