The Witcher 2 Trailer

Is it just me or is there a significant lack of RPG's coming out these days?

Must say I am also looking forward to this. It feels like I am grasping at every opportunity to get a good complex RPG. I am getting sick of these action RPG hybrids that lack depth. Give me something that I can niggle with which also contains a brain numbing amount of options!

Hybrids sell to bigger audience since you can attract the shooter/action fans as well. At least next year we have witcher 2 and a dao title confirmed so we get at least two genuine non hybrid rpg's.

Don't get me wrong I like the hybrids and enjoy them as well I just prefer the traditional rpg's more.

Yup I agree Stefan9. Those hybrids are still fun, but often I am feeling an itch that just can't be scratched by them, that more traditional RPG's manage to. Luckily for me that I like console RPG's (JRPG's) as well, so I have a few more options than just PC alone, but even consoles are looking pretty bleak atm.

Looking forward to this game. Have yet to play the original, but in the next few months I will buy and download it at a friends place. Being stuck now with 3G sucks T_T

Saw a e3 stage demo of the game and it looks really awesome. Can't wait.

Cool mass effect 2 style protection bubble.

Blood splatter needs some work there is way way too much. Combat seems to be still pretty clumsy.

Looks like the witcher 2 will be ten times better than dragon age 2:D

More like a million times :p

Also, although I might agree with Crzwaco that the blood is a bit of an overkill, that footage is of the Alpha Version, so there is really no point in judging stuff like that.

Checked out the Gamescon footage last night, looks really fucking awesome! Excuse my French, but it is the only word that is fit to describe the awesomeness that will be The Witcher 2 :p

I am quite excited with them mentioning a revamp of the combat system
cause the old one really put me off just because of that, the rest was awesome
