The Witcher 3: how far would you go to play this on release?

Given these steep requirements, I would expect the game to look nothing less than spectacular.

Is your computer up to the task of running this game? How much are you prepared to dial down the prettiness factor to make it playable, and assuming that you are in a hurry to play it, how much are you prepared to budget towards it?

Have you ever found yourself doing whatever it takes [without resorting to crime, of course] to raise sufficient funds to upgrade your machine for the purpose of playing a single game?

i bought a GTX 970 purely for the this games! (and Far Cry 4). so im definately gonna play on PC

They really aren't that high. In fact the difference between minimum and recommended is actually quite small. Makes me wonder if that's the minimum for 60FPS. Lately system reqs have been seriously inflated. They're pretty similar to Shadow of Mordor's, and that game ran on systems much less powerful than it's minimum requirements.

Most people should have a Quad Core CPU and 8GB Ram by now. I have a feeling that the game will still perform well on cards less powerful than a 660 or an 7870.
