The Witcher Enhanced Edition Local Release Delay.

Pre-ordered this from BT so i can go pick it up today after work, checked today and the release date has been replaced with an ETA. How can something that was released in 2008 in Europe take this long to get here.

I missed the original Witcher release and am very keen to try this new enhanced and uncensored version. Guess Ill have to wait, no word yet from BT as to the reason for the delay.
 
The Enhanced Edition was available in SA in 2008 already, I bought mine at CNA. This a platinum version of the enhanced edition, i.e. it comes at a cheaper price. I also don't know why it has been delayed, but if I had to guess I would be say it either got held up at customs or it is a result of the courier/importers striking.

Ah ok, coz I was like WTF why are we so behind. Thanks for clearing that up. I also read just now that the custom officials are striking again which could be the cause of this. Typical Ass End of the Universe issue.

I guess it will be just RDR & WoW this weekend.
 
Yeah man, only in SA will the people strike a week before the world cup starts. It sucks how all the latest releases gets delayed because of their stupidity. But at least we have other games to keep us occupied. In any case, The Witcher is well worth the wait :D

I believe so, been wanting to play it for a year or 2 now but could just never find a copy so this time i pre-ordered it.

Yeah this strike action here in SA is getting completely out of hand.
 
Wlad - did you get that black edition? - It was awesome - but they only brought in a few hundred of that version so it was pretty difficult to find after a couple of weeks of it being released.
 
Yeah I got that one. Walked into CNA one day and saw it behind the counter, bought it immediately. Haven't seen it anywhere since then either.

You should enjoy the game Omega. Witcher is awesome.

From what ive seen it looks like i will yes, too bad I have to wait till next week now to get my mits on it. Oh well.

The enhanced edition is the black edition, at least that's how I understood it when I answered the question. You have the CE as well? I hate you :p
 
That date was just to be safe, in case the game got delayed even further. It is available now and it is a beautiful thing.
