The Witcher In Stock

Too bad I got it through other means before the announcement to re-release. Still an fantasic RPG, would suggest it to any looking for a good indepth RPG with an eerie ambiance. Has some performance issues, and a LOT of back-tacking, but the feel of the world and Geralt just made it WIN! for me.

Thanks for the nice comment Nec.

Havnt you played this before?

tried it when it initially came out and didn't bite me, but reading up on it...looking at pictures and seeing actually how good it is. it haz me now :D

Same here. Saw it on release, didn't have the pc to run it properly. Put it on a "To Play List" and then it just vanished off the shelves. This time I'm not letting it slip away again.

My PC still can't run it properly, but that hasn't stopped me from finishing it 3 times :p At least it's better now than it was when it came out, think I played some of the parts at 7fps or something.

I can run AVP at decent DX9 resolutions at 25 -30fps so i dont think it will be too bad.

I played it a long time ago as well and I never really got past the first introductory bit (which is fairly big), didn't grip me either. During a dry spell when there weren't really any new games out, I picked it up again, glad that I did =). Guess I didn't like the intro gameplay all that much, beyond that, the game had me.

I was also not that impressed with it at the start - it kind of felt like a console port - but I stuck with it and after a short while I was hooked.

LOL, seems I am the only one that was hooked from the very beginning :p

Aye it would seem so. I am with the others, but experience has taught me with RPG's that often you may need to get past the 'dull' points and then the game will suddenly explode with WIN!

The Witcher = WIN!

I was actually hooked from the moment I saw the first trailer on the NAG disc, it looked so awesome and I knew that I would love the game. I liked the first section of the game, Kaer Morhen is still one of my favourite areas in the game, am hoping you get to revisit it in the sequel.
