Then and now: gaming tech through time

The advances we've made are mind boggling. One thing I do try from time to time is imagine 20 years from now and you know what, there is no way to imagine it! Whatever we conceive to be available will be trumped by something even more astonishing.

I prefer to live in the "now". Besides, in 20 years' time I probably won't be interested in gaming anymore as I'd be half a century old!

You don't know that there are plenty of gamer,s that are 50 and older.Technology really has improved the last ten years cant imagine whats around the corner.

It really is amazing how far we've come. It is kind of sad to think one day we'll all be dead and no longer will we be around for these advancements in gaming technology :p.

Unless you download yourself into a processor

In the early 80′s Intel introduced a new 80186 model capable of a 25MHz clock speed. Fast forward to 2014 and we now have Core i7, which is capable of 3.40GHz.

we've had 3Ghz CPU's for a few year now what one really needs to apprecite about is the i7 is it's a quad core with Intel4400 chipset built in to it. so really you looking at 4 cpu's plus what once used to be a whole other chip or expansion board on it own all crammed in to one tiny chip.
but i am waiting for the 3qubit quantum cpu to really rock my world.
