Thief trailer drops jaws

What I saw was a trailer (CGI) and not what I expected (gameplay).

I keep finding these little gems.

I laugh, but inside I'm hurting.

Still, though, I really hope we at least get something passable out of this game, but with every dev-log, interview and trailer released, my hope just lessens and lessens. I mean, fucking super acrobatic Garrett who throws a grenade and then jumps out of a window? That's not Thief, that's a mash-up of Dishonored and Assassin's Creed.

They keep saying how much they respect fans and the old franchise, yet they're changing absolutely fucking everything about Thief. They've even dropped the old Garrett's voice actor. I can understand the environment has changed and making a Thief exactly like the old ones might not be entirely viable, but there is just so much that they are doing wrong here.
